Push People Over the Edge?

Russell Armstrong's apparent suicide raises the issue: Do conflict-based reality shows -- like "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" -- mess with the heads' of their cast members? Plus, Michael Jackson's Estate strikes back against Gene Simmons.

And are fantasy football leagues sexist? The battle heats up in our newsroom when Shevonne is REPLACED by Gary ... because he cares more about football??

(6:40) Reality stars are encouraged to create conflict ... but some can't turn it off then cameras stop rolling.
(10:20) Russell Armstrong had problems -- but displaying those problems to the public is a whole 'nother Oprah.
(12:00) It's a fact -- violence sells.
(35:10) KISS was slated to perform at an MJ tribute -- until word got out that Gene Simmons called MJ a pedophile.

A question for the TMZ staff...What is bigger?

A) Harvey's ego

B) Harvey's O-ring

If you were married to one of the Real Housewives, wouldn't you kill yourself too?

I don't think anyone expects someone to commit suicide.

In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope.
In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort.
In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream.
And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.”

TMZ pushes reality shows down our throats and then acts surprised. Do you feel a part of what happened in any way?

Ehhh... no one forces them to sign on to the show. They should know what they're getting into.

Russell was weak for committing suicide.

Going through a divorce is hard when it's just known by those close to you, but when you air it for the whole nation to see that intensifies the impact personally. On top of that, people watching these shows forget that the personalities on the show are REAL people and say some of the most terrible, harsh things. Reality TV continually damages peoples lives yet they continue to jump right into these shows. Love of money, no matter the consequences.
