Anti-Gay Chick-fil-A Meal?

3:30 PM: Multiple sources close to Sarah have contacted us to say she is absolutely NOT anti-gay ... and she had no idea about Chick-fil-A's non-culinary practices. Mystery solved.

On television "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland, 20, has two gay uncles, but in real life she just attended the grand opening of a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Hollywood ... an evangelical Christian owned corporation which has been accused of being anti-gay.

Although Chick-fil-A has responded to the homophobic allegations by saying they "serve and value all people," they also routinely contribute to anti-gay organizations like Focus on the Family.

Pro-equality groups aren't happy about the fast food chain's latest outpost and are planning a protest in front of the new Hollywood location on Saturday.

While Sarah may not be aware of the chain's practices, TMZ contacted her rep but have not heard back.

TMZ, this is stupid. I am straight and I have no problem eating at a place that supports gay causes. Why should she be concerned about who she is offending by where she eats? You guys are reaching on this one.

OMG, now eating fast food has to be politically correct. There are some people who need to find something to do and quit thinking up such nonsense. It is chicken place, get over it. Protesting?? Really?? So many things going on in this world and that is what these yahoos are protesting....hummmm.....ridiculous. People lose focus so easily these days. That is about as dumb as saying let's protest a muslim owned business because they support terrorist. Whatever!

Who cares? Chick-Fil-A is disgusting with the exception of their Oreo shakes.

5 bucks says she never took a bite of that sandwich, she just posed with her mouth open like she was going to take a bite.

Wow, why is it only OK to be anti-Christian nowadays? Another Chik-Fil-A just opened in Aliso Viejo. There is a church in Aliso Viejo that couldn't even buy commercial time at the movie theatres for their Easter Sunday services this year. Scary times...

First of all, it is so entrapping and mean-spirited to put this picture up of this girl who is innocently going to a grand opening of a restaurant and insinuate she is "anti-gay." Second of all, just because a company supports Christian organizations doesn't automatically make it "anti-gay." Focus on the Family isn't even "anti-gay" in and of itself. They are a religious organization that follows a conservative Biblical theology. They don't commit hate crimes or spread hateful doctrine towards gay people. Granted, they may not support rights that a lot of Americans believe gay people should have, including myself, but to call them "anti-gay" is reaching to say the least. This entire post is ridiculous and shameful. You're insinuating so many things that you have no basis for.

Don't you people at TMZ have better things to do than to try and create controversy using a NON story.

Wow. How low can this anti-gay crap get. Chik-filet can support who ever they want. Their food is INCREDIBLE. I will certainly continue to get there often. Focus on the Family is not a hate group because they don't support gay marriage. Many businesses don't, in fact, most of the world's population doesn't.

Why are people always trying to make something out of nothing? STFU, she likes chick fil-a so now she's a gay basher?

Note to TMZ: Not agreeing with every policy of the liberal part of the gay community (you do realize about a third of gays are Republican, right?) does NOT make one "anti-gay". There's not universal agreement even in the gay community on gay "marriage", so stop with the name-calling. While you're at it, why don't you stop with the politics altogether? This is a celebrity site, not a political one. If we want the political opinions of a bunch of s***my, uneducated paparazzi, we'll call and ask for it.

And thats the truth

TMZ, who really gives a rats a$$ how Chick-fil-a spends their monies? They can spend it however they like. Last time I checked it was a free country, for now anyway. Maybe there should be an investigation into Harvey's finances to see where he spends his money and if he spends it in a place that is not politically correct, his show and his bus tour should be boycotted.
