'X Factor'

Parents Org Goes to FCC Over Dong-Exposing Contestant

"X Factor" ... more like XXX Factor ... if you ask the Parents Television Council -- which is now promising to file a formal indecency complaint with the FCC over the contestant who dropped trou on stage last night.

In case you missed it -- a wannabe singer named Geo Godley whipped out his junk in the middle of his performance on the show ... and it all aired on X Factor. Producers added a graphic to cover the guy's man zone.

But PTC President Tim Winter is furious ... saying, "If Godley performed his act in public, he would have been arrested. But if he performs it in front of a Fox camera, his act is beamed via the public airwaves into every home in the nation."

He adds, "The prolonged, previously videotaped footage of a contestant dancing nude on the ‘X Factor’ stage represents a conscious decision by the producers – with the approval of the network’s broadcast standards department – to intentionally air this content in front of millions of families during hours when they knew full well that children would be watching."

"Families were led to believe the 'X Factor' would be family-friendly programming and instead were assaulted by graphic nudity."

"And while we understand the entertainment hook that comes from the occasional train wreck, something so inherently and patently offensive as this obscene performance is more than a sucker punch; it is a violation of Fox station’s broadcast licenses."

“Finally, the fact that Fox assigned a content rating of TV-PG DL for a naked man frolicking around on a stage is not just inaccurate, it is fraudulent. We call on the amorphous Content Ratings Review Board to immediately investigate this incident and hold Fox accountable for violating the spirit and the letter of the content ratings system, which can only be described at this point as rigged and blatantly inaccurate."

That was all very weird. I can't believe they even let him continue on like that and no one took him off stage. Why even air it?

That was a classless action to even televise that 'performance'. Even after his
performance' he was saying 'i could sign another song' 'i dont know why the audience turned against me' - he was talking like a mentally sick person. people like him should have the FBI going to his house and serching his computer. he seemed like a sick pedifile who gets off exposing himself to anyone and everyone. Parent Television Council should go after FOX for that - and the authorities should go after that guy for that !

From what I have heard this show was taped and instead of editing this guy out they chose just to put a X on him. This is crazy to have happened and should never happen again. Simon just sit there with a grin, acted like he thought it was great!

Just thought I would post this. The artical says that he really wasn't naked, but instead he was wearing something, but X Factor had to put an X on it because it was 'skimpy' and that gave the illusion he was naked. whatever

He never flashed his junk. He was wearing a leapord print thong. The big "X" graphic just made it seem like he was truly flashing.

Perhaps the PTC needs to get all the facts before they go nuts & make themselves look stupid like this.
-
Not that I'm endorsing the guy's act or Fox airing it - but he was not "nude" as the complaint suggests.

Can't the members of the PTC be cited for indecency themselves for walking around in public with big sticks poking out of their butts?

Could you stop posting their daily complaints about tv shows, I don't think we care and if we did we wouldn't be on a site like TMZ>

I completely agree with their stand. I was watching with my 7 year old daughter who is musically talented and loves to watch people sing. She asked why someone would pull their pants down on stage. The covering with a graphic doesn't make it alright. Everyone knew what he did.
