Southwest to 'L-Word' Star

Passengers Complained About

"Excessive" Lesbian PDA

9/26/2011 2:42 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0927_leisha_hailey_SW_EX
Southwest Airlines
claims it only kicked a lesbian "L-Word" actress off a flight today after multiple passengers complained about her "excessive" affectionate behavior with another woman.

As we previously reported, Leisha Hailey went on a Twitter rampage hours ago -- claiming a flight attendant booted her and her GF for kissing on the plane ... because SW is a "family" airline.

Now, SWA has released a statement ... explaining, "Initial reports indicate that we received several passenger complaints characterizing the behavior as excessive."

The statement continues, "Our crew, responsible for the comfort of all Customers on board, approached the passengers based solely on behavior and not gender. The conversation escalated to a level that was better resolved on the ground, as opposed to in flight."

Still, SWA notes, "We are ready to work directly with the passengers involved to offer our heartfelt apologies for falling short of their expectation."

YAY! Southwest Airlines has the balls to stand up for the passengers! We don't want to see all that PDA from anyone, don't care who. Just stop it already!!!

Yep, it's like I said on the first thread!! They were asked to stop and responded with much volume and coarse language.

If there are several customers complaining the flight attendants have to pick a solution that will offend the least amount of customers present in a situation. I personally do not want to see anyone sucking face on a flight. There is one thing to peck a few times but if it's full on tongue down the throat and what have you, that's just disrespectful to the people sitting around you. I don't care if it's barbie & ken or bert & ernie. Those quarters are far too close for that tom foolery. Just the fact that whoever sat next to them on the aisle did not have the choice to comfortably look away, as some would suggest just shows how inconsiderate some people can be.

The most disgusting finding in all of this is how incredibly homoophobic these comments are. "gaying it up" "pushing agenda" "public sex." Guess what, the girls kissed. Excessive or not, is not really the issue here. And it's funny so many of you take 'affection' and hear the word 'lesbian' and turn it into a porno flick. She wasn't being crude, they weren't wasted, they weren't taking their tops off, this isn't spring break, you know?

Silly butch carpet merchants. Nobody wants to watch two pasty mullet haired flannel shirt wearing angry dy.kes tounge wrestle.
Get over yourselves. Just because you're fine with scissoring doesn't mean others think it's cute. Grow up you classless hags.

Since only 30 protestors showed up at Chik fi Lay in Hollyweird on Saturday, GLAAD had them stage this event to "get their agenda front and center"!!!!

This girl is a PIG. What kind of person, gay or straight, sits on an airplane making out in full view of children? She sounds like a real pervert.

Why do people need to show affection in public in the first place? Get some hormone treatments if you can't keep your freaking hands out of each others' pants for a freakin 2 hour flight. That goes for heteros and homoz.

Save it for the bedroom or get a freaking motel room but on an airliner or what have you, check it at the door. No one wants to see it, even 2 lezbos going at it.

Yeah, why do gays have to be in your face about their sexual preference all the time, and then they lie about not doing much of anything and act like they are being bullied or discriminated against. If a couple of heterosexuals were making-out on a plane, I expect them to get booted as well!

Excessive kissing? Ok, so they can prove it, correct? Onus is on them, since Leisha says she has the incident on tape. Where are the complainers to discuss what happened? Actually, they would lie and say it wasn't about homophobia, when the reality is, that the fact these were two women DID create a situation that likely would not have been created as sharply if it were a straight couple.

There should be a separate airline for these folks. While we're at it, separate TV stations as well.

Is this our only brainwashing segment about gays in the news ? Late ly there have been three or four. Kinda out of balance witht the world's population isn't it ? We understand we must 'suspend reality " for watching movies and such...c'mon this is just disconnectedness at its worst.

Look closely at my pic, it's really me in there ! hahahahahah

Normally I find it gross if a couple is using too much tongue when they're making out and that's with hetro couples. If it's two girls, where do I get my frontrow
tickets. THAT'S HOT.

I agree, there is just not enough seat back room if there are 2 girls making out on a plane. Imagine all the complaints from passengers about their seats being knocked from the back by a boner.
