Lindsay Lohan

30 Days in Jail

11/2/2011 11:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Judge Stephanie Sautner and Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 30 days in jail, and the judge is holding her on a tight leash to make sure she completes her probation.

Lindsay admitted she violated her probation by not attending therapy sessions as required by the court and by getting kicked out of the Downtown Women's Center (click below to read Lindsay's shoddy progress report).

The judge now says ALL of Lindsay's community service must now be served at the L.A. County Morgue.  And the judge gave Lindsay a tight structure on how she must complete the rest of her probation, and if she doesn't the judge will put a warrant out for her arrest and sentence her to an additional 270 days in jail.

As for the 30 days Lindsay is getting now -- the judge made it clear ... NO HOUSE ARREST.

The Sheriff's Dept. tells us Lindsay will serve 20% of the 30 days -- 6 days in jail.

Judge Stephanie Sautner gave Lindsay a strict schedule on completing the rest of her probation -- by December 14, she must have completed 12 days at the morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions.  By January 17, another 12 days at morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions.  And so on.  Everything must be completed by March 29 -- or she goes directly to jail for 270 days.

The judge clearly thinks Lindsay needs a rigid structure to complete her sentence, and as the judge put it, Lindsay is holding the keys to the jail cell.

And the judge strongly suggested Lindsay stop tweeting about her experiences at the morgue.

At the end, Lindsay seemed happy, walking out of court saying, "Thank God," under her breath.

Sources in the courtroom tell us that when the judge got off the bench she remarked about Lindsay, "She looks good today."

She had it tough.....compared to the thousands of illegal immigrants invading our nation and committing criminal acts of all kinds.

You know it and I know it!

Hammering Lindsey is the only way this helmet haired judge can feel any worth to her empty life, since she does not want to disadvantage those poor poor illegal immigrants and their crimes.

How does American Law work: if you ac***ulate X # of days in jail.... is there a peak point at which the system 'ups' the ante?

Alright, here I go ... I am going to weigh-in re: today's proceedings.

1. The Jail Sentence of 30 Days - It was too light and has no significance, because as we heard today from the Judge that Federal Law (that has no jurisdiction in this case) is being used to allow non-violent offenders out early. That one really threw me, and it CONTRADICTS Judge Sautners ruling that she is not to be released early for any reason, so that completely contradicted each other and negated each. Simply RIDICULOUS. Jail is jail, and she is going to either see it or not, at this point from what happened today, she won't.

2. The Probation Stipulations/Structure - Lohan does not KNOW structure, does not respond to it, and it is my belief that she will once again screw this up and end up in jail for 270 days in jail. Harvey is right, the Judge gave her enough rope to hang herself ... she will do it again. I am serious about PROBATION this time ... again, SAME BS new day!

3. Summarize - Lohan is a CHRONIC relapse-er, habitual probation violator, and has not intention of getting it right this time around. Her track records speaks louder than her actions, and no one believes her, and it really is something to how impartial the judicial system can be based on your criminal actions and the punishment they feel will get through to you. Clearly this is the end of the road for Lohan and probation, but I have delusions that she will make it, she has shown over and over and over again that she is incapable of doing what is required to do, and lets HOPE and lets PRAY that when she does violate again between now and March 29th, she will FINALLY see the inside of a jail cell where she belonged many times over since she first started violating back 5 years ago! True Justice is BLIND! Clearly!

This sentence is fair and sensible. When you people get past your Lindsay is whatever you think she is that you've built in your minds you'll see that the judge made a reasonable and fair decision. First of all, Lindsay did not commit egregious violations, that is what Sautner said in the hearing. She basically doesn't follow the rules but she didn't stab anyone or get into a physical fight or altercation at the center, she just didn't show up and left early. See the difference? Lindsay going to jail is a big headache, you have to isolate her and keep her safe from the general public, monitor her to make sure she doesn't freak out, and she's much more paying her debt to society by going to the morgue. She's being forced to adhere to structure in her life, get psychotherapy which deals with underlying issues and not just the symptom of drugs/alcohol which people are so hung up on. Sautner has more information than we do. She sees the files and what the doctors have concluded about Lindsay and how much addiction she actually has rather than what people in the gossip mill think she has. What you perceive may not be reality, she may not have the severity of drug usage that many of you think she has. I think Sautner is trying to get Lindsay out of the system by making her earn her way out. The majority of comments here are taking Lindsay, a person you really don't know, and projecting what you think you know about her and wanting her punished and spending time in jail because she's a bitch in your minds, or some privileged celebrity brat rather than seeing someone who isn't that emotionally developed or mature and has a possible mental deficiency and working with her, however unpleasant she may be, to get her moving forward and actually improving rather than biding her time being "punished" in a jail cell.

That's funny as schit! Judge sentence you to 30 days in prison and you serve less then an hour, less then one full complete day. LOL Love California, if ever I feel like shoplifting, I'm moving to L.A. The whole legal system in California is screw up. Walk Lindsay, don't run out of prison... and you don't have to do your community service either. What the judge going to do, sentence you to a year in prison?

Got a question, if 30 days equal to a minute, how much does 2 plus years in prison equal up to in California? If you're answer is less then 2 hours, your right! LOL

Hey I like Lindsay. I really do... but the girl got two DUI's under her belt and has been giving more breaks then I have seen anybody get breaking the laws. You all claim she hasn't killed anybody yet. Say that when she's out partying and get behind the wheels one night and run into one of your love ones. Say that when you become one of her victim...

Lindsay need professional psychological help. She's in a stage now where she doesn't believe her own poop stinks. She thinks she is untouchable! Not good at all, she's going to die if she doesn't get some help, FAST! I don't want to see her in jail either, but I also don't want to log in to TMZ and read Lindsay done went out partying overnight, got drunk and ran somebody into a tree with her car, killing them.

This is is a prime example of what is wrong with our legal system. Once the court get a hold of you they don't want to let go. Call it job security and it is bankrupting our country. Get rid of probation for all but violent offenders.

Lindsey certainly did get a big break after being told she would get no further breaks. She will die of old age before this probation sentence is completed.

If Lindsey Lohan had been an african american none of this would be in question, her behind would have been hauled off to jail after the first time. I find it amazing that they are giving her so many chances to F up.
