Nickelodeon Star Ryan Rottman

Gets DUI Charges Dismissed

11/3/2011 9:44 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Ryan Rottman
Ryan Rottman
, the Nickelodeon/90210 star who was charged with drunk driving, will not have a DUI on his record, because both DUI charges have been thrown out.

Rottman copped a lesser plea in court today to misdemeanor reckless driving.  He was arrested in Hollywood last July, minutes after leaving an Irish pub where he partied with Zac Efron and Rumer Willis (below).

Given that Rottman allegedly blew a .19 -- more than twice the legal limit -- seems like something was wonky with the case.

Under the deal, Rottman will be placed on 3 years probation and was fined $390. He's also required to take a DMV safe drivers class.

It's only a matter of time till you run over and kill a kid crossing the street while you're too drunk to drive. So you can thank the Hollywood joke system for that.

It is sad to say this is pretty common with DUI cases, Hopefully next time he doesn't kill somebody. I am sure that $390 will teach him a tough lesson lol

Because we all know that people will stop driving drunk if the charges are dismissed.

Our legal system is so messed up.

In MOST jurisdictions [EXCEPT CALIFORNIA] drunk driving is considered a major offense and a risk to the community's safety's, unless you're a celebrity-in which case all bets are off and any evidence of the dangerous behavior is wiped away as if it never happened.

I wonder how many people think that's "fair" whose records are sitting in jail or records are now tarnished.

Welcome to America. We need a revolution to make courts and judges accountable to the people. Remove and imprison the f**ked-up judges, sheriffs [that would be you Baca] and others.

Did he get the same judge as Lindsay Lohan?

Can someone please tell me why the justice system in this country bends over backwards for celebrities? Why aren't they held to the same standard as the average citizen? I guess when they kill someone, someone will do something about it. These judges who coddle these people should be ashamed of themselves. They are responsible, contribute and enable these people to continually thumb their noses at the laws of this country.

It's only because he's white they let him off the hook , why couldn't they give Disney star Orlando Brown the same treatment? God bless the souls of every Racist.

Yeah, what was "wonky with the case" is that the prosecutor found out that the guy is on TV. Celeb injustice!

Celebrity justice strikes again. I got a DUI once. Blew a .09 and lost my license for a year, got 40 hours community service and almost $2000 in fines and court fees.
