Nicole Scherzinger

30-Minute Crying Session

After 'X Factor' Elimination

12/9/2011 8:55 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

1209_nicole_xfactor_exd_2
Nicole Scherzinger ran off the set of 'X Factor' in tears last night ... when the audience booed her like crazy for eliminating Rachel Crow ... and TMZ has learned she was hysterically crying in her dressing room for nearly a half-hour.

Nicole was charged with casting the final vote between Crow and Marcus Canty ... but didn't want to eliminate either .. so she sent the vote to "Deadlock" -- which meant it all boiled down to the audience vote.

Crow lost ... and broke down in tears ... and when the host of the show asked Nicole to comment, the crowd unleashed a chorus of boos.

Sources connected to the production tell TMZ ... Nicole bolted right for her dressing room ... and was "inconsolable" about the situation.

We're told Crow -- who was a crying mess herself -- heard about Nicole and went to the judge's dressing room ... where the two cried together and Crow told Nicole she was not mad about the decision.

It's been a rough couple of weeks for Scherzinger -- as TMZ first reported, she had already been getting death threats and hate mail for voting Drew Ryniewicz off the show last week.

i cant stand Nicole either but seriously was anyone not feeling disgusted at the show for allowing young kids to audition after seeing rachel's breakdown!!

first astro, then drew, and now rachel.

im sorry but this show is just NOT FOR KIDS!! if ur kid has a talent then at least wait till they are 17 or 18 before auditioning to this kind of show. its clearly that the whole thing is putting too much pressure on them and none of them is mentally mature enough to handle it!

Nicole was totally acting. She is full of it. She was not crying for real. Its obvious Nicole made a deal made with LA to never vote against his artist and he will give her a record deal when this is all over. She is dying to make it to the top. Be the next Beyonce'. It will never happen nicole . You are trash. She is a sell out and I hope Simon sees what is going on. Rachel was clearly better.

We love Rachel...we voted for her. Nichole is the worst judge ever. We'll be voting for Melanie now. Boos to Nichole!

There was nothing wrong with Nicole for utilizing deadlock if she was incapable of distinguishing the "better" of the two talents. What made it sad is it showed her total lack of business competance by choosing deadlock the week following her "teenage meangirl" histerionics on a night that was supposed to be a tribute to pop's king... She as Xfactor had to have known with all the buzz & petitions going across the net, that (not because Drew left) people were not impressed with the loophole filled voting process & said "I WILL NOT PARTICIPATE" in that flawed process. Great time to use that process Nicole lol ^^

Nicole is a media-made monster: a heartless, souless, stupid,air-head. Too bad she's incapable of feeling the hurt she inflicted on poor Rachel. Damn her, ban her, shun her, and black-ball her forever.

I Hope This Was Stage So I Can Stop Crying. If not, then I feel that the age should be changed because youngsters can't deal with that kind of public defeat. Secondly, Rachel has been exposed so there is a future for her and I can see her as a Disney Kid. Such a wonderful little girl. Third, Nicole is not the brightest crayon in the box and is trashing kids to get back at Simon. She made it off of her beauty because she certainly can't SING. I am sick of her and Paula. They act so silly and childish.

Ok kids with talent great.., but kids with the maturity and understanding when it comes to rejection and a whimp of a judge who can not make a decision.. un necessary.. that's why there should nbot be children exposed to this TV hype . let them be kids and enjoy life . not make a some Tv ratings out of them.. and who is Nicole anyway.. a has been *****cat doll?? Rachel could out sing her any day

Question Why is it the lsdies to always to make the last vote make the men be accountable for the final vote in final five.

The issue here is not that Nicole decided Rachel should go. She did not. Out of cowardice in relation to her decision to send Drew home, she opted out of making a decision. She clearly assumed Marcus Canty would receive the lowest number of votes. What is wrong here in Niclole not doing the job she was hired to do, was that the integrity of the show was undermined. On X-Factor, the sing off was supposed to alleviate strange voting, or trolls that "vote for the worst." She should resign. To be clear, I have no favorites but I am a father of three girls two of whom are 13. They were ot hapy with the way things happened and thought it unfair. If Nicole genuinely believed that Rachel should be going home, I know many would not be as upset or indignant. This was not the case, and thus the injustice.

I enjoy the heck out of TMZ on TV, especially the humor. Half the time I feel like I'm back with my buds in the 60's.
And I love X Factor and glad that little girl has a career.

She sayed, "Mommy you promised"...wth...how could you promise an outcome when America Votes. Weird. I feel bad that her heart broke. She'll get work though.
