Michael Jackson Estate

Claims MJ's Manager

Royally Screwed Him

2/17/2012 10:40 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson's Estate is going after Tohme Tohme, MJ's former manager, claiming he fleeced the singer out of millions of dollars.

TMZ has obtained legal docs filed by the Estate, claiming Tohme got Michael to sign agreements that earned him a fortune for doing nothing.

According to the papers, Estate attorney Howard Weitzman claims Tohme got MJ to agree to pay him $35,000 a month plus expenses as a flat fee -- regardless of what work Tohme performed.  On top of that, Tohme inked a deal that gave him 15% of any money Michael made.

And there's more ...Tohme introduced Michael to a lender that refinanced Neverland.  In return, Tohme got Jackson to pay him $2.4 million -- just for the introduction.   And Tohme got MJ to promise him 10% of any profits if the Ranch was sold.

Tohme also got MJ to agree to pay him $100,000 a month for the "This Is It" tour.

Estate lawyers are anticipating a lawsuit by Tohme against the estate for the money he claims he's owed, and the Estate wants to shut him down before a suit is filed.

The Estate is also asking for damages.

BTW, Michael fired Tohme 3 months before he died.

Who would have any financial dealings with a guy with such a stupid name!

Greed, greed, and more greed. Incredible. Everybody was stealing all they could from Michael.

So what did this guy do that was negligent? Negotiating a good deal for himself from a drug addict isn't a crime. Why does everyone think "poor Michael Jackson" He was a shrewd person himself, remember when he bought the Beatles catalog out from under Paul McCartney? I feel bad Dr. Murray has to go to prison for supplying him with something he was going to get, no matter who the supplier was. Dr. Murray didn't introduce him to profenol, it was already Michael's drug of choice. Time to take responsibility for his own choices.

I can probably be convinced that Tohme is not the most scrupulous man, but if MJ signed the do***ents, they are legal and binding and the man should get his money. Sorry estate, but I side with Tohme.

Jackson was broke. He owed alot of money. He kept borrowing money off of his Sony record book. Jackson was spending money like a drunken sailor with nothing coming in.

As always take it to court.

What a surprise! Another LEACH hanging on to a celebrity for MONEY. Good God, do ANY of the celebrities have a BRAIN? Can they not READ what they are signing?

I think in the next life Michael and the Jacksons should take the responsibility of looking after their own financial affairs instead of crying 'foul' after the first inconsistency.

Fat Mike

How can they say he fleeced Jackson out of money when Jackson agreed to Tohme's terms?
Sounds like Michael Jackson would have gone bankrupt without him.

By the time they are done every single person ever seen associating with Michael will get taken to court accused of stealing from him.

Darn right he did! In 2003 MJ told Bashir he was worth OVER 1 billion 2009 he was broke? Smells fishy to me!

MJ fired this guy 3 months before he died, and yet you can see in footage that he was walking into the hospital with randy Philips the day he died.
Philips has said he was with an associate ( Thome) and frnak deio called him and he went to Mj house and then directly to the hospital.
So if Mj fired him , why is he still involved with people from aeg?
hopefully we will get some answers

I would like to see who notarized these do***ents and if he can vouch for the fact that MJ was in a coherent state of mind if he did sign these do***ents.
Also, if he was advised to sign these by an atty who was representing him , without telling him he had a conflict of interest regarding Thome and Aeg.
I would also like the estate to look into the lawyer representing MJ for the tour as that contract seemed in Aeg best interest, not Jacksons
