Antoine Walker

NBA Championship Ring

SOLD in Bankruptcy Case

3/19/2012 3:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Antoine Walker
Antoine Walker's NBA Championship ring just sold for $21,500 ... which would have been great news for Antoine, if he wouldn't have been FORCED to sell as part of his bankruptcy case.

Walker -- who won the ring as a member of the 2006 Miami Heat -- filed for bankruptcy back in 2010 ... claiming he racked up more than $12.7 million in debts ... but had only $4 mill in assets.

According to court docs, Walker had to liquidate his property to pay back his creditors ... including his ring. Now TMZ has learned, the ring has been tentatively sold to a guy named Andres Garcia for a cool $21,500.

A judge needs to sign off on the deal before any money changes hands ... but we're told it's pretty much a done deal.

They can take away his ring ... but they can't take away his memories!

These brothers in the NBA are easy pickings. Not one of them is smart enough to hire a lawyer and establish a trust with someone who ain't their cousin.

I'm blessed with financial knowledge and little money. I guess that's better than big money and no knowledge of how easy it can be taken from you.

His ex fiance is an attention seeking gold digger with a rage problem. What kind of gal throws drinks, tries to hit other females with a wine bottle, climbs up on tables, swears like a foul mouthed trucker. She is classless trashy, she calls others non MF factors when she is the Non Factor and the MESSY one.

$108 million in basketball earnings, not to mention whatever he made in endorsements. Lets say $150 million in career earnings. That's at least $60... million in cash, maybe as much as $70 million. So basically he blew $65 million dollars and spent so much that he borrowed an additional $13 million. Anybody who made $65 million and still needs an additional 20% of that to cover their costs has serious money handling problems.

Celeb Gossip Addict

Recently I have started to view these broke former millionaire athletes state of affairs in a new light. These are guys that would have been broke forever had it not been for their athletic ability. They are neither smart nor disciplined so it is really lucky for them to have had years of great living when other people like them can only hope to clean the houses that they have had the chance to live in. So you are right. You can't take his memories. Now he's just back to where his limited intellect mandates that he should be. Lucky him to have had those experiences.

Harvey's Gerbil

Some people are heartless and laugh at athletes like this, but it just makes me sad. I hate seeing the people I grew up admiring (Not necessarily Walker, just talking about athletes who went broke for no reason at all in general) so broke when there's not reason at that they should have. I always wonder HOW and WHY more than anything. I know Walker made A LOT. Another, off the top of my head is Allen Iverson....How in God's name did Allen go broke?!? To me it's sad. For the most part they absolutely deserved what they earned, DEFINATELY Iverson, I hope it works out for them both.

Harvey's Gerbil

Now that I'm thinking about it, I just remembered rerading one time about Wlaker andhis friendship with Michael Jordan. He didn't make anything close to what Jordan ever did (no athlete other than Tiger and maybe AROID has), but he'd go around throwing money around like it was nothing when he hung out with Jordan just to, KEEP UP appearances. and apparently there are other athletes in Walker's situation who did the same. Now, it's already been proven that Joprdan's a cold, heartless, bastard, but for real, if the guy was human at all he would've sat these guys aside and been like, "look, save your $$$, what you're doing is mindless. You don't have to do that to keep up with me". Rather than doing that he was quaoted as saying something like, "they're their own person, it's not any of my business". Moral of the story; Don't hang out with Michael Jordan at casinos, unless you're Tiger Woods or AROID.

They can't take away his memories, but they can add to them. The memory of losing the ring it in bankruptcy will last forever.

That's pretty cheap for a championship ring. NFL championship rings will sell about $100K or more, and there are way more of those rings per championship than the NBA.

He doesn't look too bright. Whores were probably leading him around by his boner until he spent all his money.
