George Lucas

Star Wars is Dead

Stick a fork in Jar Jar Binks ... 'cause the "Star Wars" franchise is done ... FOREVER ... so says intergallactic space god George Lucas.

The Jedi Master's master was leaving Toast in L.A. yesterday when we asked when he was finally going to release the long-awaited 7th, 8th and 9th installments of the greatest space saga of all time.

But judging from Lucas' answer ... it looks like the series will remain frozen in carbonite for the rest of time.

Hopefully, that goes for the Indiana Jones series too ... because NO ONE SURVIVES A NUCLEAR BLAST BY HIDING IN A REFRIGERATOR!!

Whenever filmmakers feature a nuclear explosion--Indy 4, 24, The Sum of All Fears--they always forget about a thing called RADIOACTIVE FALLOUT and people just walk around like THERE'S NOTHING IN THE ATMOSPHERE KILLING THEM.

Lucas nuked the fridge long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...

Thank god it's over! So long pretentious, bad dialogues and torturous plots.

He always wears the same types of clothes. Blue jeans and lumberjack shirts

He said years ago he wasn't going to do Star Wars anymore because of the unkind comments he read about some of his characters (ex: JarJar Binks). He still has much to offer, even if he's retired. Let him rest, regain his strength and offer him encouragement to do more later when HE'S ready.

He needs to stop being a little bitch and give it to someone who will do it justice.

Star Wars isn't dead, people have to remember out of the entire franchise, Lucas only really actively directed 2 (though took credit for all) and those flooped. Return of the jedi was the first I believe and Phantom (They weren't box office floops but the fanboys will tell you those were the worst and least watched)

This has BULLCRAP written all over it. Next year they'll be out with a re-release of some type of Star Wars movie that's been edited for the something time. And of course, some mofo will be dumb enough to buy it. The only ones that have true value are the originals.

Don't you see what this means? All our favorite movies are going to be changed, and updated, until we can't even recognize them anymore.

And the murderer was Lucas himself. The only reason the original series was good was because he had people telling him his ideas sucked. With the new ones, nobody could stand up to him. And what did we get? 3 movies based on a first draft script of nonsensical garbage.
