The Situation

I'm Done with Rehab

4/5/2012 3:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The Situation has CHECKED OUT of the Cirque Lodge rehab center in Utah ... where he was receiving treatment for substance abuse ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... Mike Sorrentino checked in to the famous treatment center several weeks ago ... claiming he wanted to "get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion."

Sitch was spotted out moments ago at a nearby airport ... and even took a photo with a fan who happened to be on his flight.

0404_the_situation_airport_sub_AsseteNow comes the biggest test of all ... when Sitch re-enters the danger zone to tape the next season of "Jersey Shore."

Good luck ...

Yeah, we'll see. Dr Drew isn't big on a few weeks in therapy to cure anything, and switching addictions ain't a cure.

Let the man get his drink on, for Pete's sake.

While I cannot stand the Jersey Shore, I feel for this guy. Maybe because he's a fellow Italian, I really don't know, but he genuinely seems like a good-hearted person... just not the smartest.

Dumbass thinks doing a few weeks in rehab makes you cured from months to years of addiction. We'll see... lol

I just hope this guy realizes that Prescrips isn't his only problem. Just the fact he's blaming that and not fessing up to a prob with the Alcohol makes it sound like he's NOT going to stop (Doesn't help when JS thinks he's cleaning up and are going to can him for not drinking. WTF does that say about the show?)

how many weeks? Three. Only in Hollyweird can you find---
Speed Rehab. Now I wonder if they have---
Speed Recovery. His release doesn't speak well of that Cirque Lodge outfit. Guess you go, put your time in, sit in a couple therapy groups, have your weekly session with the shrink [$$$$$] pay the outrageous rate/fee... and they write you a glowing Lindsey/Chris Brown... Gee Weez, he is the best--lot of reflection, may encounter incidences of relapse-cover your ass [duh]-and the courts/execs, whoever say---"See, he's "CURED"!!
Later..."Now, Situation, don't get too normal, we need you to keep the show spiced up"

I wish him well--but going back to that horrible T.V. show will not be good. It sounds like his addictions are pretty serious--a few weeks in rehab...probably not enough.

bring back recent posts

...This man has been blessed with a amazing monetary opportunity, I hope the $$$ isn't what creates the demise of him from addiction, I wish him the best of luck and hope he finds something in life that makes him feel good on the inside so he doesn't look for escape with the bad wishes kid! It's good in life too volunteer and give back..maybe that will help...

One of M-TV's harshest critics

M-TV warned him about his drinking? Really? Do you actually believe that? The drinking and doing of drugs, etc., started with "The Real World", then "Road Rules", etc., the Jersey Shore is just another version of "The Real World".

If it's all about drama, M-TV shoves it down our throats. Corporate responsibility? Really? Telling the cast members to clean up is about as stupid as saying they have good corporate value and do nothing wrong. They want people to have trouble in their daily lives and edit out the boring stuff they do to make they look a lot worse than what they are normally. When the fans see that edited crap, they assume that is the full unedited truth of what really went down. The go tweet or post it somewhere on a blog or on Facebook. From there is spirals out of control.

In short, M-TV needs them drunk as a skunk and acting badly to sell the show to people watching, they need their daily dose of mindless violence, drunken debauchery and stupid stunts.

Hell, if these people cleaned up, there would be no effing show, M-TV would be forced to go dig in their pipeline for another messed up bunch of people to screw with.

Had M-TV stuck to music and that's it, they would have better off.
