Whitney Houston's Sister-in-Law

No Foul Play

4/5/2012 6:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Whitney Houston's sister-in-law has backed off her insinuation that Whitney Houston died as a result of foul play.

Pat Houston was at LaGuardia Airport early this AM when our photog asked her if she believed foul play was involved, and she said no.

You'll recall ... Pat told Oprah she did not know how Whitney ended up in the tub, suggesting her death was something other than an accident.  It's unclear if Pat knew that Whitney's body was found face down in the tub and if that's why she had doubts at the time.

The L.A. County Coroner concluded Whitney's death was an accident, and Pat now says she concurs.

I wish the Whitney Houston stories would end now--we all know how she died. And it was tragic that these family members and her friends allowed this to go on.

And people poured on Nancy Grace when she suggested foul play could have been involved. Dan Abrams, where's your apology to Nancy Grace? If a family memeber could have thought of it, then we shouldn't criticize NG

This is like the Jackson family saying the doctor "murdered" Michael. Sorry--Michael had half the responsibility of his own death.
Whitney caused her own.

What about Whitney's blood relatives Michael and Gary, what do they have to say? Why is Pat always speaking like she speaks for the whole clan? I do not trust that woman Pat. She said Whitney looked at peace when she died, yet the coroner talked about red stuff coming out of Whitney's nose and scalding and abrasions on her face. Why dont you all ask Leola Brown about the coroner's results? Leola knew Whitney longer and was close to Whitney. Pat is Gary's second wife, and when they interviewed the first wife - Monique (who was there before Pat) recently, she had concerns how the case/investigation was handled and what was reported about Whitney, Pat also hired Raffels van Excel, another person being questioned. They can cover all they want but the Truth will come out. If TMZ wants to get a true repsonse, why dont you ask Leola and their sons what they think of what is being reported. We will probably here their responses via other sources anyway.

So she "accidentally" snorted coke too?

Maybe she tripped and the coke just accidentally landed right in her nose.

When those who found Whitney found her in the bathroom I thought they pulled her out of the tub. So did forensics establish she was face down in the tub when she died and/or is that the original true story told to the law officials? And is there as theories on how she came to be face down in the tub? What was the position of the rest of her body? And why was the water in the bathtub so hot? Stories yesterday were all over the place - she had scalds on her back while others said differently - that she had scalds on her face.

Lots of shady things going on! The family should be outraged as to how the case was handled.

I don't understand how "face down" would make a difference to whether or not she was murdered.

I always presumed Ms Houston was found face up. I would think the fact she was face down would ring some kind of bell or whistle.

It is strange how all of the details of this case keeps changing. As someone suggested here yesterday, i bet anything that somebody (record label, Pat, someone) has an insurance policy (ies) on Whitney. They want to publicly announce those specific details, accident, cocaine, etc. so there is no problem collecting. Please note the insurance company also perform their own investigations. The whole thing is so shady.
