Whitney Houston's Mom

'DEVASTATED' By Death Report

4/5/2012 5:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Cissy Houston and the late Whitney Houston
Whitney Houston
's mother is "devastated" and "inconsolable" over the L.A. County Coroner's Autopsy Report that makes it clear ... Whitney was deep into cocaine when she died.

Cissy Houston is telling close friends ... she cried hysterically when she first heard about the Coroner's findings -- that white powder (which we know tested positive for cocaine), a drug spoon and other trappings of drug use were found in the hotel room.

Cissy says her biggest fear is that people will now remember her daughter as a druggie, and not a talented singer and family woman.

Cissy singled out Whitney's performance of the National Anthem at the 1991 Super Bowl, saying, "This is the type of thing people should remember Whitney for."

Cissy added, "No one's perfect. Only the Lord can judge."

I hate to break it to Cissy, but that autopsy report is not why Whitney Houston will be remembered for being a druggie. 20 years of doing drugs will.

Good riddance!

It's an absolutely horrible thing for a parent to outlive a child, but she need to remember what good things there were, quit blaming others for her daughter's problems, and move along. That and watch her grand daughter, unless she wants more bad things to happen.

she will be remembered as a great singer, sadly with a drug problem that took her young. shame her family and friends didn't help her and someone wanted to make money off her death. Just hope this opens her daughters eyes up before it is too late.

It was evident that WH died of cocaine abuse. Some people tried to blame rx. pills for her death, but WH ultimate choice had always been her "first love" - cocaine. She simply couldn't get rid of that nasty habit that destroyed her health, friendships, family... I hope her daughter will overcome her drug habit and become a happy, productive person. Nancy DisGrace should apologize to WH family beacuse she claimed Whitney's death was conspiracy/murder. She should have been fired after C. Anthony's fiasco.

Yes, she will be remembered as a druggie (who can forget "crack is whack").

And sorry, people can judge... she was a druggie who had a few good years but went down the toilet in a spiral.

No reason to put her up on a pedestal... not a role model, and aside from having a nice voice, didn't add much to society.

Well, I'll remember her as a beautiful and talented woman. There will never be a voice like that again. Now, please let Whitney rest in peace. I personally will not read the coronors report that TMZ has provided. I can't believe that they would post this. But, then again, it's TMZ.

either her mom paid little to no attention to her when she was alive or she was in hardcore denial. whitney had been a junkie for like a good 2 decades. i'm surprised the daughter wasn't born messed up. hell, i heard rumors she was doing coke back when she had the squeaky-clean look when she became big in the mid 80's. in all reality, she had been washed up since the mid 90's as crack was doing it's thing to her. it wasn't bob's fault she became a junkie.

Oh Whitney will be remembered for her talant without question... But it will be in the form of "a very talented beautiful woman with an amazing voice but she squandered her amazing talent for a multitude of drugs and alcohol that ended her life before she was 50 years old. What a talented woman. What a waste.

Tell that to Bobby Brown and Houston's step son. Oh wait. You're not going to do that are you?

Where are the turds Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson stirring up hate about THIS death? This crack hoe could get them more publicity than some gang banger from Florida...

i don't see how Cissy can honestly say this is all new news to her. She's known her daughter was a druggie for years and years - should have done something about it when she had the chance, not put on the act now. No one is buying it.

Whitney Houston's Mother should be grieving and focus on a superficial vision of her deceased child. Typical Jackson/Houston mentality. Remember the glory days but ignore the real problem....a family who watched their beloved kill herself with substance abuse and did not take appropriate if not drastic measures to save her.

Well, if it walk like a duck..........A 1991 performance is the best Cissy could do to conjure up a good memory of her dtr? That should tell her something! Whitney will be remembered as a tragic example of how drugs, money, enablers, leeches and denial can topple even the best of talents. Cissy needs to stop feeling sorry for herself and wallowing in fantansy, before her granddtr. follows the same path.

Well Mommy I guess the truth hurts and now that it came out she died because of drugs they can't say it was murder, what joke. When I hear the name Whitney I think of someone who was so high on crack and that dumb azz X husband of hers, now there was another winner,
