Tupac's Mom

Coachella Hologram

Was Frickin' AMAZING

4/16/2012 11:10 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Afeni and Tupac Shakur
's famously protective mother Afeni Shakur agrees with the rest of the planet -- the rapper's resurrection at Coachella this weekend ... in the form of an incredibly lifelike hologram ... was mind-blowingly awesome.

A rep for Afeni tells TMZ, she was absolutely positively THRILLED with Tupac's virtual performance -- when he appeared alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg during the headlining show at Coachella last night ... walking back and forth across the stage like he was actually present.

Afeni didn't attend the performance -- but we're told she watched it unfold live on the Internet ... but while it was thrilling, the entire experience was bittersweet.

The rep says Dr. Dre asked Afeni for approval to incorporate Pac into his performance -- and she said yes. As a thank you, we're told Dre made a donation to the rapper's charity ... The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation.

TMZ also spoke with Dre's crewmate Daz Dillinger -- who tells us, Nate Dogg was originally supposed to appear as a hologram as well, but the decision was made at the last minute not to use him. Nate got a video tribute instead.

Elevate Yourself

So, does this signal a rebirth of the black on black killing movement, too? Killing children and innocent people on the street?
Oh-oh, that is still on-going, isn't it?

Tupac was a gangster a murderer and a rapist.

Anyone that holds him as a hero is a f*cking loser.

WHOA WHOA WHOA, What are some of you people talking about? You are obviously don't know much about him. That THUG stuff you are all speaking of as a negitive was actually a positive. He was trying to DECREASE violence with thug life. If he called it the "goodie goodie movement" people wouldn't have listened to him.

Yes some of his songs he talks about murder and things like that. But that doesn't mean he was running around killing people. He was talking about things he had seen and put it in the fist person to make it more effective.

Yes he had angry songs, but he also had songs calling for peace. He said himself, how is he supposed to be in the same mood every day. Some days you want love and happiness and other days you are just angry and that reflected in his music.

He was a poet and I have been a big fan of his since I was a kid. Even my 66 year old white mom knows Tupacs voice and flow immediatly upon hearing it and loves him. And she hates violence, I can't even get that woman to watch a horror movie, lol.

As for the rape charge. Obviously I wasn't there, so I can't say for sure. But he denied hurting that woman to his dying day. I personally don't think he did it. He spoke often of men needing to have A LOT more respect for women and woman needing to have A LOT more respect towards themselves.

And as for his mother being protective of his legacy. Yes she is obviously very protective. She doesn't just let his image be used for just anything.

And as for the black on black crime Tupac addressed this numerous times. One quote off the top of my head is "It ain't them thats killing us, it's us thats killing us. It ain't them thats knocking us off it's us thats knocking us off".

Some of you people talk about Pac like he was walking around committing crimes all day, but once again to quote Tupac "I didn't have a record...till I had a record"

The hologram was great. I can't imagine what Tupacs reaction would be if he was told 15 years after his death he would be performing in concert.

You people, most of you probably are inbred morons, are ridiculous. hey SIMONE, why don't you go **** yourself? You are probably some fat person sitting behind a keyboard, still living with your parents writing your name on the orange juice in the fridge. you have no guts in the real world, so the only time you can act "tough" is on the internet. What a ***** you are...

Mrs. Mathers

'I see no changes. All I see is racist faces.
Misplaced hate makes disgrace to races we under.
I wonder what it takes to make this one better place...
let's erase the wasted.
Take the evil out the people, they'll be acting right.
'Cause both black and white are smokin' crack tonight.
And only time we chill is when we kill each other.
It takes skill to be real, time to heal each other.

... We gotta make a change:
It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes.
Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live
and let's change the way we treat each other.
You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do
what we gotta do, to survive.'

------Yeah hes such a horrible person right?! All of you talkin s h i t need to shut the **** up, show some respect he had more talent in his thumb then most people have in the whole entire body, more than anybody in their family combined. RIP Pac <3
