I Support Gay Marriage

5/15/2012 8:52 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

Jay-Z says he STRONGLY believes gay people deserve the right to get married ... claiming discriminating against a gay person is the same as discriminating against a black person.

Jay -- arguably the most powerful person in hip hop -- discussed the issue with CNN ... saying President Obama's decision to come out in support of gay marriage was "the right thing to do."

“I’ve always thought it as something that was still holding the country back. What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love."

He continued, "That’s their business. It's no different than discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination plain and simple.”

It's quite a distraction for Obama. The economic collapse, Fukushima, freedoms being eliminated. Nope, talk about gay marriage, even though there is no new legislation or activity. Plus, it's a brilliant move of reverse psychology, since Obama is gay.

Why should the government take such interest in who should persons sleep with, there are simply more pressing matters. Also if Obama had shown disagreement on gay marriage, Romney would then agree. This is politics, where one says one thing the other will oppose.

Um, not the same. You can't choose your color. Being gay is a choice.

Obama has been the greatest president so far whil Romney is an evil, greedy Bully who has shipped hundreds of jobs overseas to fatten up his illegal and secretive bank account. We can vote for common sense and a man who cares about everyone or we can vote for the Greed representative Romney who has said that he does not care about the very poor and that corporations are people.

JayZ says "What people do in their own home is their business." Does that include child abuse? Making and selling meth? Beating their spouse? Gay rights is NOT the same as discrimination against color. One is based on race. Something a person has no choice over; The other is based on a lifestyle choice, whether you believe a person is born gay or makes the choice to be gay, they DO make the choice to live a gay lifestyle. They have no control over their race. It's fine to support gay rights, but perhaps you should see about getting a speech writer to make your point a little more valid.

I'm expecting other black celebs who have drank the kool-aid to come out in support of gay marriage. It's all part of Obama's strategy to throw Black folks off the scent of his Godless position to garner votes from gays instead... As if they were going in the arms of the Republicans. Trust me, there's more coming. Obama is going to have to pull a rabbit out of his hat to get Black folks enthusiastic enough vote for his cowardly, feckless, flaky ass. Obama is not a leader, he's an emasculated puppet.

I can be entertained by celebrities, like musicians, actors, sports figures, just celebrities in general. But as people they blow me away with their incomes, their privileges, their entitlements and lifestyles. I could never relate to them as real people. So when it comes to political opinions, I would rather hear from the average guy or gal on the street then some celebrity. They are not a part of my world.
