Manny Pacquiao

'I'm NOT Against

Gay People'

5/16/2012 7:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

Manny Pacquiao says he DOES NOT believe gay people should be put to death ... and blames the media for twisting his words about his stance on gay marriage.

Manny has been under fire ever since the National Conservative Examiner published an interview in which Pacquiao says gay marriage is against the will of God.

The Examiner article includes a reference to Leviticus 20:13 -- which says gays "must be put to death." But now the journalist who conducted the interview is admitting Pacquiao NEVER specifically referenced that bible verse.

Pacquiao has now released a statement saying, "I didn’t say that, that’s a lie ... I didn’t know that quote from Leviticus because I haven’t read the Book of Leviticus yet."

He continues, "I’m not against gay people ... I have a relative who is also gay. We can’t help it if they were born that way."

Still, Manny says he's AGAINST same-sex marriage -- "What I’m critical off [sic] are actions that violate the word of God. I only gave out my opinion that same sex marriage is against the law of God.”

Sick and tired of the gay agenda on TMZ. Gays are just as intolerant as anyone else. However, most of us have at least one gay relative or friend. If they choose to make a commitment to each other that's fine by me. It's better than running around with every Tom, Dick and Harry.
My problem is with gay men who're in the closet and the ones married to women while they sneak around with men. That's disgusting. Be true to yourself and live with who you are. Don't drag other people into your deception.
At the end of the day people need to live and let live.

Hell yea, death to gays!!!!

These f*gs aren't born f*gs, just like murderers are not born murderers. The f*gs have a choice to be f*gs or not. Even if they are f*gs, they don't have to be all in our face about it and demand equal rights. Being a f*ggot has become popular because of pop culture and Democraps. We need to put all the f*gs and Democraps on an island and let them butt f*ck each other until the entire population has HIV or AIDS.

First of all, marriage is the domain of the church and they have the right to define it as they wish. Legal partnerships on the other hand have nothing to do with religion and there is no reason they should be prohibited in any way.

It's well past time to relegate the term 'marriage' to the trash bin along with 'husband' and 'wife'. The church should have absolutely nothing to do with legal matters and it's time to move into the 21st century instead of living in the dark ages.

What does Leviticus say about looking like a caveman?

In Depth News

Pacman NEVER said that about gays and that phrase from leviticus is not used ,not really known, or accepted.

I not sure how Pacman feels about gay marriage but This issue of Gay Marriage has been so EXPLOITED by the President re-election team to demean anyone who has another position.

The reason why some are against gay marriage is because they believe marriage is between one man and one women to have a child and if the defintion of marriage is severely altered it could lead marriage with multi wives , marriage between you and the federal state (commune), etc.

The accepted bible teaching does Not demean gays , because we are all equal (gay or straight).

Another reason many are for traditional marriage and it is Not about being a 'homophobe' at all (see below)..

"" The reason why many people are for marriage being between one man and one women is because they produce a child , which forms a family. It does not have much to do with judeo-christian beliefs , but more to do with taking care of your own children..

There are some now that want to Exploit the issue of gay marriage and say that all people who oppose gay marriage are bigots * because some of them have another agenda. Their far Left views that marriage should be re-defined to include the federal state as a family member (which destroys marriage) is apparent .

Maybe there can be a marriage that is inclusive to gay couples , but the motive of the far left is to destroy marriage , so states right should continue (like both the President and Romney have indicated).. ""

Don't feed the Trolls

I think everybody should be able to march down to city hall & get married then divorced 2 years or so later. There is no sanctity in marriage so why are we trying to hog it all up? We (heterosexual) shouldn't have all the fun. Gays want divorces, restraining orders, and child custody battles too.

Complete B.S.

If you quote the bible, that means you believe the 3,000+ year-old teachings of a do***ent that no one really knows who wrote in the first place.

Steelers suck

Manny, you need to remember, as well as the rest of you bible thumpers, that not everyone believes in your myth of god! This country was founded on religious FREEDOM. You people are trying to shove christianity down everyone's throat. I don't have to believe in what you do. And I don't think your Jesus would approve of how you so-called christians are towards gay people. I do believe he loved EVERYONE. He wasn't choosy or ignorant.

Manny Pacquiao is just helping and reaching out for these gays, lesbians etc, because he knew that if they will continue this act in their lives, they will not be saved in the judgement day, heaven and hell are true, we all wanted to go to heaven, but before we could enter there, we need to start it in ourselves, we should bring salvation in our lives. this is what i think manny wanted to speak out

There are a number of biblical passages that in these days and times if taken literally will result in incarceration and prosecution. The culture back in biblical times was much more inhumane to a certain degree as opposed to our current state of culture. For instance, Deuteronomy 21:18-21 (New International Version) - "If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.” Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you." How many of us reading these comments have children who are rebellious and disobedient? If we instituted this principle in today's society, this definitely would be grounds for prosecution and incarceration. In addition, Genesis 38:8-10 (New International Version) - "Then Judah said to Onan, “Sleep with your brother’s wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to raise up offspring for your brother.” But Onan knew that the child would not be his; so whenever he slept with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from providing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked in the Lord’s sight; so the Lord put him to death also. How many men (married even) have masturbated without "replenishing the earth"? Yet in today"s time, getting sexual gratification from watching porn on a computer or TV and subsequently maturating has not resulted in our lives being snubbed. If this was a reason in today's culture to be killed, yet again, incarceration and or prosecution would happen to anyone who feels this is justification for taking someone's life. I think really what all of these scriptures illustrate is that all of us may not share the same idiosyncrasies, but we all have some. Should we all be put to death because of any one fault we have? I'm certain most of us would say "NO".
