Former Rutgers star Eric LeGrand -- the paralyzed NFL hopeful who was symbolically drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- is about to receive another manly honor ... courtesy of the manliest men's men in TV.

A rep for Spike TV tells TMZ, the network is planning to award LeGrand the first ever GUYSMAN TROPHY at the Guys Choice Awards tomorrow -- and it will be presented to him by famed manly man Ray Liotta.

LeGrand -- a star defensive tackle for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights -- suffered a severe spinal injury during a game in 2010, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down.

LeGrand has made considerable progress recently though ... even regaining some movement in his arms.
