RZA from Wu-Tang Clan

Father's Day

at Juvenile Hall

6/14/2012 2:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0614_rza_articeRZA from the Wu-Tang Clan is going to jail ... but not because he's in trouble -- in fact, RZA is going to help.

TMZ has learned ... the rapper is working with the L.A. County Probation Dept. to host a Father's Day workshop at L.A. Juvenile Hall on Saturday.

According to the L.A. County Probation Dept., RZA's goal is to help "educate the young men about their roles, responsibilities and expectations as fathers upon their release from juvenile hall."

Among the activities, RZA will teach the inmates how to change diapers, dress a baby and properly care for a child.

Responsible parenting ain't nuthin' to f**k with.

Wu-Tang is the best rap group ever. Glad to see people thinking about others instead if themselves.

Good for him. It's nice to see someone promoting responsibility instead of being useless idiots. Looking at you Hollywood.

Right, a rapper acting as a positive role model on being A FATHER? That's an oxymoron. If he really wants to be positive role model, then create positive rap "song?" extolling respect for women, racial pride [vs. n!gga, this and n!gga that] real MANhood [vs. "the fvck-up HOOD]... until I see this it's just a publicity stunt to sell more of that bullsh!t "music".

His family trained at my kung fu school in Tarzana. They were all very nice so i'm not surprised he's helping people.

Leader of the ignorant masses

You may love rap or you may hate it. But a influential rapper trying to do something positive with guys locked up in jail is a good thing. Fact is these guys do not listen to teachers or even their mothers growing up and end up where they are as a result. But when someone like this who they grew up listening to says something maybe some will listen. When you have a culture who runs around having kid after kid but does not raise any of them you end up with generation after generation of criminals. If more of these rappers would take time to try and educate people like this then maybe more of these thugs in jail would listen up and try to do more with their lives and raise their kids. Reducing potential criminals and increasing the amount of people who contribute to society will only benefit us all. I'd rather see a kid from the ghetto design my next iphone than steal mine at knifepoint.
