Jerry Sandusky

Attorney Says He Is Under Suicide Watch

6/23/2012 10:13 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

0623_jerry_sandusky_getty_2An attorney for Jerry Sandusky said Saturday his client has been placed under suicide watch for his own safety.

Karl Rominger told CNN that Sandusky is being held in protective custody -- separate from other inmates -- as he awaits sentencing.

He explained, "The judge in this case and the warden in this case decided to take a measure not meant to suggest in any way that he is suicidal, but simply to put the precautions in place first and then evaluate later."

Sandusky was found guilty yesterday on 45 of the 48 counts against him. He will be sentenced in about 90 days.

to be honest I would rather see him get the death penalty and have him killed within a couple weeks instead of taking up room in prison for the rest 10 15 yrs of his life when other people can be put in there people forget we still have to pay for these dumbasses

All new inmates are put under suicide watch. Be more dramatic. My concerns lie with the survivors of this animal. I will continue to pray for them.

He seems like he doesn't like to reciprocate his favors, something he's gonna have to get used to doing around where he's going... they'll have him in Solitary where he just takes it from the Warden and Head Guards like Shawshank.... ; ( Far cry from the privileged life on College campuses like how many countless other liberals living high off the hog in the University "Universe" where they prey on dumb kids and indoctrinate them into communism and homosexuality day and night...

Ironic isn't it? Convicted criminals are protected while Penn State ignored the unforgivable actions of Sandusky. It appears the wrong person is being protected for his safety....What about his victims.

I hope this Sandusky/ Penn State case puts the last nail in the coffin of the "good ol' boys" network. Some of us can't even get a job because we don't have the right "look" but maybe have a squeaky clean record and are good people. Others...get jobs because they have the "right look" or know the "right people" and are allowed to get rich while being corrupt to the core. It's time to hire, fire, and promote on the basis of merit.
