Mel Gibson's Step-Mom

Wants Restraining Order

Mel's TERRORIZING Me!

7/2/2012 10:59 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0702_mel_gibson_01
Mel Gibson THREATENED his own 78-year-old step-mom ... SPIT IN HER FACE ... and sabotaged her marriage ... this according to legal docs filed by the woman and obtained by TMZ.

Teddy Joye Hicks Gibson -- who married Mel's father Hutton Gibson in 2001 -- has filed for a restraining order against Mel ... claiming he exploded on her several times and now she fears for her safety.

In the docs, Joye claims Mel and his sister Maura hate her guts ... because she doesn't approve of the controversial medical treatments they've been pressuring Hutton to undergo to treat his various ailments.

In the docs, filed by attorney Brian J. Kramer, Joye describes several outbursts in detail:

October 2011 -- Mel screams at Joye because Joye does not approve of "experimental Ozone treatments" Hutton was undergoing for an undisclosed illness.

"Mel began yelling and saying, 'f*ck this and f*ck that' while leveling other extremely offensive language at me."

Joye claims Mel warned her "not to f*ck with [Hutton's] treatments in any way."

January 2012 -- While visiting Hutton in the hospital, Joye claims she said something that set Mel off ... and "Mel got up, looking wild and began yelling at me in a very loud and terrifying voice."

"Mel was so upset and screaming so fiercely that I could see his face turn red."

March 2012 -- Joye, along with Mel and his sister Maura, accompanied Hutton to Panama for stem cell treatment for his hip.

Mel was cooking food and offered some to Joye ... but she declined due to a stomach ache.

Joye claims, "Mel looked at me in disgust and said that I was insulting him by not eating. He then threatened that if I did not eat he would have me put outside."

May 2012 -- During a family meeting to discuss Hutton's health care, "Mel became incensed and began acting like a wild man."

Joye claims Mel began screaming right in her face ... noting, "He was so close that I could feel his spit hitting my face."

She claims Mel's eyes "looked as if they were bulging out of his head."

Joye claims she was paralyzed with fear and later vomited because of the incident.

In the docs, Joye claims Mel and his sister MUST have manipulated their ailing father into filing for divorce ... because Hutton is a devout Catholic and doesn't believe in divorce.  Plus, she claims Hutton recently penned her a love note claiming, "Our mutual love is permanent."

Joye claims Mel is even trying to force her out of her home ... because it's owned by a charity that Mel controls. Joye says she has no place else to go.

Joye wants a judge to block Mel from booting her from the home ... and prevent him from interfering with her attempts to communicate with her husband.

She also wants Mel to stay 100 yards away from her at all times.

Moments ago, a California judge decided, rather than issuing a temporary restraining order, to set the matter for a full hearing ... which has been scheduled for next month.

No immediate comment from Mel's rep.

Hey Cuj,
.
Here's an interesting TFH to toss out. IF the Judge (after his 30days of fact finding) finds in favor of Teddy (confirming that Mr Mel WAS abusive) could that lead to custody issues w/ Lucy? All OG would have to do is say to the family court that Mel was deems abusive and she wants him stripped of custody?

We learned the hard way how someone can abuse the elderly by way of our stepmother taking advantage of our father, an attorney, during his final days.

CUJEAUX, There is a difference between rednecks and white trash. Mel is not a redneck, I can't picture him ever being on a tractor.

Realist I'm not into mincing words like you and Ms. Kathleen are. I see little difference in the comparisons you have made. Did you read the Beast article today? It confirms everything I was predicting as the likely scenario from TJ's perspective. I knew she was blindsided. You may not believe what she's saying, but I doubt she would level these allegations if she had no way to back them up. Seems like the 'reasonable man' scenario may indeed come into play. Le snicker.

1. What's the real difference between 'history of bad blood' and 'the animosity between Mel's family and Joye is intense'? History can imply several incidents, and apparently there were - over the course of several months. He included his family in the mix, which makes it sound like it was more than a few run-ins.
2. You're right! I don't believe that statement has any basis in fact! After all - its coming from Giblitz, who has no compunction in running to the press, telling them his evil stepmom is trying to kill his daddy! It was impetuous and mean spirited, and will no doubt be proven false. The Beast article states that the Ozone trip came before the visit to the hospital THAT SHE WAS IN FAVOR OF in which Pappy was finally diagnosed with renal failure. There's no doubt this can be proven.
Who wants to see Pappy dead again?

3. To say someone's perception of a situation may not be 'reality' is no different than saying they are mentally ill equipped. Why would Gibby's 'oerceotion of reality' be any better than hers? I know what you're saying between the lines and it what's envy thing to do with her age. Keep in kind that she's not the alcoholic who swears like a truck driver, has a hare trigger temper and a history of arrests.
4. To say that Gibby's rage was 'understandable' would be a viable statement if it was proven that TJ was withholding Pappy's meds. Until that has been proven, your statement is premature and not objective.

Legalese: the 8th is several days from now. What's your point? Keep us informed though. Can't wait to see the outcome.
The difference between our statements is I am open about the fact that I am making predictions - you are trying to conceal your assumptions and speculation. How's that working for you? Let's keep score!

I'm sure the disappointment will come when this all gets settled out of court for an 'undisclosed amount.'.

Here's a little news flash for y'all:

As near as I am able to determine, the house Hutton and Teddy were living in does not belong to the A P Reilly Foundation.

The house that Teddy claims as the "marital home" was purchased in 2007 by someone else.

He apologizes to men, but never women. This is an example of him thinking he can use the media to punish a woman in his life who doesn't take orders, as it will fail and come back to bite him again.

oh Cujeax
you are full of yellow canaries
b/c
"loving wife"
would take her ill husband to the clinic her self, not asking her step son to do that,
also "loving wife" would take care of her ill husband,
not to take "charity" from her step son and paid 24/7 nurse

how is your English?
and how is your Oksana?
is Ox paying you in blow jobs or rubles???
you are WRONG
Mel did APOLOGIZED to his step mother
--------------------------
1) According to Joye Gibson’s declaration, the problems with her stepchildren began in October 2011, when she told them that she didn’t think Ozone treatments were helping her husband. Mel Gibson allegedly began yelling, “**** this and **** that,” and that she “should not **** with his treatments in any way,” according to the do***ent. Later that same day, she claims in her declaration, Mel Gibson showed up at her house unannounced to apologize, and a couple of days later he agreed to take his father to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, where he was diagnosed with kidney failure.......

Realist from 1 day ago......

'Bearing the above in mind, is it so " unreasonable" that a son would yell at an old lady who tried to hasten his father to an early grave, by withholding medical treatment? Not really."
--------------------------------------
Realist: since it is now out that Gibby was the one withholding conventional treatment, flying Pappy to Panama for Ozone therapy - which could have been provided in the States - bearing this in mind......
Is it so "unreasonable" that TJ would question Gibby's motives in taking over Pappy's health care decisions, opting for alternative treatments when the man is suffering from kidney failure? And is it so unreasonable that she be treated with respect, as an equal and as an adult, trying to cope with her spouse's serious health condition?
Sounds to me like a 'reasonable man' would side with TJ. Makes me wonder where Pappy is now, since TJ no longer has any contact with him. Check my previous posts from the last Gibby story. I predicted Pappy would be dead in 6 months after Giiby takes over. Let's see what comes first - the divorce hearings or Pappy's death. Good thing the judge opened this up - for Pappy's sake.
