Katie Holmes

I Don't Want Scientology Interrogating Suri

7/4/2012 9:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Katie Holmes
desperately wanted to save Suri from a form of interrogation practiced by the Church of Scientology that she was steadfastly against ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to Katie tell TMZ, back in 2005 she had witnessed Tom's other kids participating in a Scientology ritual she found to be troubling ... and feared Tom would drag Suri through the same process.

Ex-Scientologists call the process "sec checking."  Here's the way it works.  The subject holds electrode handles on a device called an e-meter and is then asked a series of personal questions that help the Church locate "areas of spiritual distress."

Some ex-Scientologists claim the questions include:

-- What has somebody told you not to tell?
-- Have you ever decided you did not like some member of your family?
-- Have you ever bullied a smaller child?
-- Have you ever lied to a teacher?
-- Have you ever done something you were very much ashamed of?
-- Have you ever refused to obey an order from someone you should obey?
-- Have you ever gotten yourself dirty on purpose?

During the process, a person called an "auditor" collects e-meter readings.

Several ex-Scientologists have come out against "sec checking," claiming it's a mild form of psychological terrorism designed, in part, to get children to report on their parents.

We're told Katie would have none of it and it is one of the reasons she broke from the Church and ultimately Tom.

In most marriage relationships the wife will run the household and the children and men usually follow along trusting their wife is knowledgeable in this area, but I get the feeling Tom tried to run it all, "Happy wife happy life". Sounds to me he must have forced his stupid Scientology on her and Suri, and did not respect Katie and her role as mother and wife. If he truly loved her he would follow along with her wishes. He's not that heart broken, he's a freak. She is probably scarred about the outcome.

In researching Scientology over the past few days, I cannot believe how crazy these people are. It is a cult for weak minded people who cannot make decisions for themselves. These are dangerous people and I am so happy they are beginning to be exposed. I feel every sorry for the children that are born and subjected to this cult. This is not a life,

Katie Holmes is taking her life back and doing whatever she can to protect her daughter from Scientology.

Holmes was around Scientology long enough to know she does not want any part of this cult disguised as a religion espically for her daughter who is 6 years old and primetime for Scientologys SEC interrogation questions.

She is an idiot. He did not even DO anything wrong like Tiger Woods. He is better off without her. She knew what she was getting into. She is horrible.

GO KATIE~!!! I am so proud of her for having the guts to not only leave but go up against such a large and powerful cult. Cults all have similar tactics, its textbook to try and induce shame and guilt and to separate families emotionally and use children and other close family members as informants. Getting herself and Suri out now will hopefully prevent further brainwashing.

Don't blame victims for being in a cult. Even stupid Tom Cruise is a victim because cults prey on peoples emotional and mental and familial weaknesses and brainwashing is very subtle and done over a long period of time. Yes the members of cults seem gullible but really its just that they are brainwashed and taken advantage of. Its very systematic.

Katie and and others should read this book if you have family members in a cult: "Seductive Poison: A Jonestown Survivor's Story of Life and Death in the Peoples Temple." Written by survivor Deborah Layton, she shows how even the most educated and "normal" people can be brainwashed and rooked into a cult. Deborah came from a great family, was educated, and ended up being on the "inside" of Jim Jones closest inner circle. She barely escaped with her life but her story is compelling and reads like a novel.

Run Katie and Suri! We all support you.

A "church" that interrogates people, including chlldren? What crap! Only a cult would involve itself in a family's divorce.

Sick and tired of these stories about Katie Holmes not wanting any money from Tom but yet again saying she might challenge the prenup. Also trying to get full custody of the daughter to get millions of dollars from Tom. All she is trying to do is leak stories about Scientology to disguise the truth. It's all about the money!!! What money does she have on her own? She did a TV show called Dawson Creek and maybe one hit movie. Money hungry that is all she is. Trying to look like the victim.

UK's Daily Mail has very interesting articles on theCo$ leader's missing wife and video of their teams harrassment of a person who left the cult.

Scientology is supposed to cover up their gays and provide spouses for them. Also, actors join scientology to boost their careers. Look at Kirstie Alley and John Travolta and the movies they made together, both scientologists. Look at Greta van Susteren and spouse, who was first the scientologist, then married her and she joined. They are huge supporters, bigger than usually revealed.

If Scientology is so bad, then why are there millions of followers? And Tom's other kids seem to be fine to me. Katie Holmes, to me, looks like a very stupid woman. Its not like Tom Cruise keep Scientology a secret until now. She knew what she was getting into and shame on her now.

Scientology - their beliefs and practices- needs to be dragged to the Supreme Court to determine if it's a religion or a discriminating, secret society/cult
their massive tax exemptions would be at stake if they were not deemed to be a church
and maybe many who were searching for something intangible in a religion and joined, would start to rethink their allegiance to a cult!
would love to see that happen
and I'm wondering
can anyone make up a whacked out money making scheme of a "religion"
or is it only Sci Fi writers?

L Ron Hubbard must be rolling over in his grave, histerically laughing at how many people bought into his biggest sci fi fiction after all
a joke gone too far......

Have you ever seen Equilibrium?? I'll bet is was at least a little based on Scientology, some Brave New World, Big Brother and certain Twilight Zone episodes. Their methods actually display how insecure, immature, bigoted, chauvinistic and ass backwards they are. They have to be a whole lot of stupid and crazy to believe in that crap. So I guess the whole theory that the higher leaders are all bipolar schizophrenics is true. Judging by Tom is proof enough.
