Wrestling legend Jerry "The King" Lawler was rushed to the ER tonight after collapsing at a WWE event in Montreal, Quebec ... but is now breathing on his own.

62-year-old Lawler -- who famously battled Andy Kaufman back in the '80s -- was sitting ringside to commentate on a match when he suddenly collapsed.

An emergency response crew rushed to his side and performed CPR on Lawler.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The WWE says Lawler is now breathing on his own.

Lawler, you are 62 man. It's time to be just an announcer. Hope you get better quick.

That elbow drop to his chest probably did it. Probably botched the move.

Update from @MichaelCole on WWE #RAW: "His condition has stabilized. He's breathing on his own, and his heart is beating on its own."

This was not a work. I just know there will be a ton of people saying so. It seems as though he may have had a stroke or aneurysm but there is a possibility it was a heart attack. They did have to revive him with CPR. I am praying for Jerry!

totally 100% the wwe's fault, with so many other wrestlers on their roster they keep coming up with story lines for a 62 year old announcer, what a load of crap. i also put the same comment on their website but they never posted it, i wonder why!
