Lance Armstrong

11 Cycling Teammates

10/10/2012 9:05 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

11 former members of Lance Armstrong's United States Postal Service cycling team TURNED on the disgraced athlete -- and testified against him in an investigation by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

The USADA announced .... the cyclists who provided evidence to the organization include George Hincapie, Tyler Hamilton and disgraced former Tour de France champ Floyd Landis.

“The U.S.P.S. Team doping conspiracy was professionally designed to groom and pressure athletes to use dangerous drugs, to evade detection, to ensure its secrecy and ultimately gain an unfair competitive advantage through superior doping practices,” the USADA said in a statement.

“A program organized by individuals who thought they were above the rules and who still play a major and active role in sport today.”

The USADA says its investigation into Armstrong uncovered "the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen."

As we previously reported, Lance has been banned from cycling for life.

We can conclude that most are using the substances as they have obviously become the norm.

There are 2 sides to every story. There is a dispute as to whether he ever tested dirty (there are possibly 2 positive tests). Lance argues "there is zero physical evidence to support his outlandish and heinous claims. The only physical evidence here is the hundreds of controls I have passed with flying colors. I made myself available around the clock and around the world."
If he passed every test, as he said, even those in the middle of the night and at other inconvenient times, and they couldn't detect banned substances since 1998, then I find it hard to believe that he used substances that were banned then. Obviously, the alleged 2 "dirty" tests were disputable and not a clear indication of his guilt; otherwise, there would be no need for debate. Either the USADA was inept for over a decade, or this is a bogus witch hunt. His teammates, albeit plentiful, have questionable motives for their cooperation. All I know it is a sad thing when someone's legacy is skewered without sufficient evidence. I'm glad that his foundation, which supports people afflicted with cancer, has become a larger legacy for him and quite honestly is WAY more important anyway.

Dude's a cheater.

Well, ALL of them were cheating, they just copped a deal to avoid prosecution and in turn dumped on Lance. Lance is pretty full of himself but he really did get ratted out. Lesson here - last person to make a deal with the prosecutors gets the shaft.

This is why corporate sponsorship should be banned from athletes in training. I remember when the corporations started throwing money at the bicyclists, the best bicycle money could buy, and they had researchers working on it. But there was more money, so they started finding ways to *fix* the bicyclist, too, and Lance was right there in the middle of it, along with his other buddies. It's easy to get caught up in it, especially when the whole country and your corporate sponsors are expecting great things out of you, since they spent all their money, you'd better win. So sure, he probably did take the dope, and was encouraged to do so by the doctors hired by the corporate sponsors. I don't blame Lance, it's easy to be caught up in winning with all that going on around you.

I don't know how you'd stop it now, but donations should be kept low, and corporate sponsorship should be banned.

I am still calling huge bull**** without some REAL proof.. 500+ tests and most of the samples still are around and nothing till people "ratted" him out?

If he swapped urine 500 times his penis would be trashed.. 500+ catheters would not treat it well plus there is a huge chance of DNA being swapped.

If he only did it off season then it means nothing because it would be of no effect during the season.

There was only a few of the roids they were able to mask but for only a short time and since most of the samples are still around there is no mass evidence of usage still.. They could have sampled other ways over the years which wouldn't have been easy to fake like hair etc.
its not uncommon for false neg's when your tested that much and then have next test clear you ..

Unless they come out and show and prove how he did it then they need to stfu..

There is no reason they can not show how or put out the evidence to the public..

Hell... let all the pro athletes use dope.

So the USADA is part of the same government as the US Postal Service which sponsored, trained, paid for the cyclists and probably paid for their dope. It is like the government suing itself. Wait, they are doing that in Arizonia......nevermind..... What a messed up administration we now have.

shameful, embarrassing, disgraceful, and I think he is getting what he deserves. What really upsets me is that I believed in him.

If true, luck y none of them are in federal prison. I believe it though, so they are lucky.

He didn't give up his fight until the USDA thretened him with a Grand Jury appearance where perjury would have landed him in jail. Probably the same thing with his teammates.

@John: Firstly, I do not anything about Alex Jones.
Secondly, your bizarre rant about "hate America" is
deplorable. As a second-generation U.S.A.F. veteran,
I honorably served MY country - at a VERY young age. You're probably a Fed-coward-Paycheck-Patriot, that does not care for this Divinely-inspired and once Godly-blessed nation.
You'd sell-out The Greater Good of this nation for a big paycheck. Traitor.
