Charlie Sheen

Drops $75,000

To Obliterate Lil Girl's Cancer

1210-charlie-sheen-eddie-braun-tmzHey everyone, wanna hear a really nice Charlie Sheen story? Great ... 'cause the actor just cut a massive $75,000 to help a little girl fight cancer.

TMZ has learned ... Charlie was recently having a conversation with a Hermosa Beach police officer (don't worry he was not being arrested) and learned about a cop whose 10-year-old daughter Jasmine had been diagnosed with Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma.

FYI -- CR is a nasty form of cancer that occurs in the muscle tissue and requires over a year of expensive medical treatments like chemo and radiation therapy.

We're told ... Charlie told the officer, "No parent should have to watch their kid go through that" ... and vowed to help.

The next day Charlie fired off a check for $75,000 to the Hermosa Beach Police Assoc. -- which had started a fund in Jasmine's honor.

And there's more ... Charlie's stunt-double Eddie Braun also chipped in --and cut a check for an additional $25,000 ... which is almost more impressive, since he doesn't even make a fraction of what Charlie makes.

We're told the family is extremely grateful for the donation and is hopeful his actions will inspire others to join the fight against CR.

Hmmmmm........$100,000 to Lindsay now $75,000 to a little girl he did not know and both times it makes the news. Who called the paps? I know Lindsay didn't call them and the cop didn't. Wonder what his motive is? I don't trust Charlie as far as I can throw him.

Charlie, thanks for helping the 4100 families at CHERUBS whose critically ill babies are born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia last year by wearing our shirt and tweeting! 160...0 babies are born with CDH each year and 800 do not survive. The cause is unknown. These babies go through weeks/months of hospitalizations, complicated surgeries and the families struggle horribly emotionally and financially. CDH is as common as Spina Bifida and Cystic Fibrosis but the world really doesn't care. There is no CDH telethon, no millions in funding, no place for families to turn for real help except CHERUBS and CHERUBS has little money. The closest CDH families have had to a celebrity spokesperson and a chance for real awareness and help was the tweets you did for us and the photo you took wearing the shirt. The charity might not have won the contest or any money to help the families but you raised awareness for all these babies who desperately need someone to care and tell the world. Thank you. <3 Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Charlie Sheen and his stunt double Eddie Braun did an awesome gesture, contributing $100,000 for this little girl's cancer treatments. Bottom line is they are helping this child - I don't care what the other cynics here have to say, this was extremely nice. Well done guys.

Jeez, what is going on here?! First I'm in tears b/c Denise is giving his two boys a stable home in a chaotic environment, now I'm in tears b/c Charlie did this! I'm so glad things are getting better with him and he's doing wonderful things for people less fortunate

Excellent! I'd much rather see him do something like this than giving money to Lohan.
