Nas

Sued for $10 Million

Over Kidnapping Ordeal

12/22/2012 6:43 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

1222_nasThe concert promoter who says he was taken hostage at gunpoint and held for ransom -- all because Nas was a no-show for a gig -- is now suing the rapper for $10 MILLION.

As TMZ first reported, Patrick Allocco says he was kidnapped in December 2011 in Angola because Nas failed to show up for a New Year's Eve concert after taking a $300,000 pay day.

Allocco says he was held as ransom by Angolan promoters and their "henchmen" because they wanted their cash back. He was finally released in February 2012.

According to a new federal lawsuit filed Friday, Allocco wants the rapper to pay for what happened to him. Specifically, he claims he was held captive for 50 days -- during which time he says he was beaten and threatened constantly.

Allocco is suing Nas for $10 million, claiming he suffered psychologically, physically and financially. He claims that while stuck in Angola, he was unable to do business ... and as a result lost his home and his company.

We reached out to Nas, but so far no word back.

The suit has a snow ball's chance, so there's another reason.

Ridiculous. He didn't show up for the concert. That's it. The kidnapping was a completely separate even which he had nothing to do with; this case should never see a courtroom.

Before you guys comment you should do some research. TMZ has not reported everything. Nas did return the $300,000 to the promoter. The promoter asked nas to come and did not sort out his visa or return ticket so nas didn't bother.

To Allocco: bummer. But why would NAS-whoever (whomever?) he is-be held accountable for your kidnapping? So again to Allocco: bummer. I think that is as good as u are going to get.

TMZ is either misinformed or unaware that Nas has returned that 300,000.. what happened to the promoter is a sad story but concerts gets cancelled all the time, thats reality. but sueing nas for 10 million of his blood sweat and tears that took him to earn those millions because a incident happen to you by some thugs is NOT nas fault.. SUE them not nas

people the problem is not that NAs didn't pay the 300 000 back but that he refused to return the money for months . if you don't show up fine but then you don't owe the money they gave you for the concert . Nas things he can keep the money he didn't work for ? I don't understand why ppl defend NAS, yes he paid the money back but first after the story came out and he was forced to because Patrick could have been killed if he doesn't and everybody would know it was NAS fault . If you don't show up for a concert you return the money , problem solved but NAS thought he can keep it while another man was beaten up
