Reid Flair

Honored By Wrestling Org.

With 10-Bell Salute

3/30/2013 9:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Reid Flair
never got to wrestle Friday night after he passed away unexpectedly ... so the folks at Big Time Wrestling paid tribute to the 25-year-old with a 10 bell salute in his honor.

Reid -- who recently returned to the states after wrestling in Japan -- was scheduled to appear at an event for Big Time Wrestling in Hagerstown, MD along with his dad, WWE legend Ric Flair.

But Reid never made it -- he was found dead in his hotel room early Friday morning.

Following the tragic events, Big Time Wrestling took time out before the show began to honor the wrestler's life ... by giving him a traditional wrestler's memoriam.

Thanks to our friends at rfvideo.com for the clip.

R.I.P Reid.

It's a nice thought, but he accomplished nothin in the wrestling business.. Unless you consider furthering the stereotype that wrestlers are junkies an accomplishment. Good riddance.

I never knew he wrestled I only thought his father did

I didn't know he wrestled either. Was he any good? He must have had some talent. I'm familiar with Japanese wrestling and I know they don't take just anybody.

Condolences and prayers to the Ric Flair family. Did Reid ever wrestle in the WWE? Does anyone know why he wasn't a regular on WWE? Ric Flair was such a huge favorite of the fans, and kept working, long after many would have quit, or were sent packing. It looked like Vince kept him working, for some reason. Usually, the sons of legends don't even have to be very good, to be a regular. Look at Cody Rhodes. Talk about no talent. At least he has his father's speech impediment, though it's not everyone's American Dream to lisp like their old man.

Imagine if Reid had followed in Ric's footsteps, and imitated him? Wooooo! The WWE would have had 1,000s of fans tune in, just to see Reid. This is a great loss for us fans, too. He could have started a dynasty because today's fans saw Ric Flair wrestle. That cannot be said about the fathers of other sons of legends. Ric Flair was one of the greatest, and lasted longer than maybe any other great. Reid even looked like Ric. God bless the family.

rfvideo.com eh...hey TMZ, did you know that video was sent by Rob Feinstein, who was busted on "To Catch A Predator" for trying to set up a meeting to have sex with who he thought was a 14 year old boy?
