Ron Burgundy

FOUGHT A SHARK!

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the "Anchorman" franchise ...

Check out Will Ferrell -- aka Ron Burgundy -- battling a mechanical Great White last week off the coast of Georgia, where "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" is shooting.

If it were a man, he'd punch it. Punch it right in the mouth.

Burgundy had a stand-in on the film ... but judging by the pics, he went ahead and performed his own stunts for the shark attack scene.

He probably immediately regrets that decision.

So 'Burgundy had a stand-in on the film' and that stand-in was Ferrell?

I think Will Farrell is one of the funniest comics of our time and he is also a very nice guy to the public. Yeah, his movies may not be Oscar winners, but the make me laugh and that's all I ask of him.

I don't know what it is about Will Farrell but he cracks me up. His best stuff was SNL though.
