Paula Deen

Going to Pot

6/23/2013 5:43 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

If you're lookin' for Paula Deen's pots and pans, you better jump fast, because it looks like her shelf-life on QVC is about to expire.

Deen -- who appears on the product-hawking network to pitch her cookware -- may lose her platform over the "n-word" revelations.

A rep for the network says they have "concerns [over] the unfortunate Paula Deen situation."  The rep adds, "Please know that QVC does not tolerate discriminatory behavior."

Now this is the weird part, which makes QVC sound -- how do you say in English -- as spineless as deep-fried octopus.  "We are closely monitoring these events and we are reviewing our business relationship with Ms. Deen.  In the meantime, we have no immediate plans to have her appear on QVC."

Translation -- They're waiting to see which way the wind blows.

This is so ridiculous, it's not funny anymore. Some people need to develope much thicker skin. I bet there isn't one of these uppity hippocrites that sometime in their lifetime haven't used some sort of slur against some ethnic group or religious group in some sort of fashion. First off, Paula admitted she used the word and it was years ago, spoken to her husband, in a private conversation in the privacy of their own home. So you idiots on your so called high horses with your high and mighty so called morals, move on and let Paula be. I've heard much worse said by people over the years against other groups of nationalities, ethic or religious groups. Grow up and get over it and move on already.. Paula should not be getting fired or raked over the calls by anyone or any company.

The faux outrage is so phony and obvious, Black people are mad as hell about this. They have never made such comments in private or what they thought was private.

For all of these big money companies, people in my age bracket, who know how spineless they are and only worry about the almighty buck,it will back fire in there faces. The food network can bite me,and any other company who ends attachment to Paula Deen.I watched her show to gain knowledge about cooking.I couldn't care a rats behind what she does in her personal life. This is a prime example of some piece of sh-- who wants to ruin somebody because of jealousy or some other agenda.Karma is a you know what.As a northern person ,transplanted to Florida,I'm not surprised.Do as I say,not as I do seems the norm down here.Christian values, yeah, whatever!!

The punishment is too harsh for something she did 40 years ago when she was young and immature. Many people make mistakes. Her punishment should not be so hurtful and designed to ruin her for the rest of her life.
She apologized.
People are much too sensitive these days.

if you had many on food network, especially the head people, and qvc take lie detectors test, many would come out as having said the N word before. even 30 years ago. ridiculous.

I can certainly do without the food network. There are other channels that are just as good or better. As for QVC, enjoy watching once in a while and have even purchased from them before, but oh well, there is always home shopping network, amazon, and several others. Certainly do not need networks that are this spineless. This political correctness crap has got to stop.

Why are black people getting blamed for this, all of these "revelations" came out because she is being sued by a WHITE woman. She should have settled and moved on.

Get rid of her for many reasons!

The truth is that her views conflicted with the Food Network's policy and that's what got her fire. It is good that she acknowledge her wrong doing, but there are always consequences for mistakes. Sometimes they can be harder than what we expect.
