Katherine Jackson

No Regrets For Suing

Over Michael's Death

10/7/2013 12:24 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Katherine Jackson has no regrets for suing AEG over Michael Jackson's death -- despite our sources who say she's having buyer's remorse -- her attorney tells TMZ.

A source close to Katherine bristled at our post, telling us, “Any reports that Katherine Jackson is feeling remorse for filing the wrongful death lawsuit are completely untrue.  Mrs. Jackson feels the lawsuit is very important, and that so far it has proven that AEG did in fact hire Dr. Murray."

As we reported, our sources say Katherine felt pressured by Jermaine and Randy to file the case in the first place.

Katherine's lawyer says, "The lawsuit has also confirmed that Michael Jackson was an outstanding father, son, humanitarian, and human being. [Katherine] hopes that the lawsuit will change the way that entertainment companies treat their talent."

Fact is ... even though MJ was arguably pushed to the limit, the jury didn't feel AEG did anything wrong.

They were trying to squeeze as much money as they can out of a dead man's estate and blaming anyone they have to to do it.

Larry in BH

I hate to pop Mama Jackson's bubble, but if she thinks she did good by her Son and grandchildren -- she is badly mistaken.

The public doesn't care if AEG hired or didn't hire Dr. Murray. That is a hollow victory for the Jackson family.

The real public take-away from the Trial was the complete trashing of Michael Jackson and the proof positive that he was a doctor-shopping drug addict.

Where before this was rumored to be true -- thanks to Mrs. Jackson, Michael's fall to addition was proven in Court by doctor after doctor testifying about Michael's drug use.

Which do you think is better for MJ's kids to learn after all this? That AEG hired Dr. Murray or that Michael was a very troubled drug addict?

Shame on mom for pursuing this...

She feels no remorse. That goes along with feeling no shame. Surely the Jacksons read *everything* written about them. Wonder how they feel about everybody thinking they are greedy, money grubbing leeches? No shame.

devil's advocate

She may not have had any regrets suing AEG, but I'll bet it cost her a small fortune in attorney fees. Those attorneys are probably trying to talk her into spending more by appealing the verdict if possible, or suing Conrad Murry for money he doesn't have.

Katherine Jackson should pay back the citizens of Los Angeles County for this sham of a lawsuit.

Five months of unnecessary court costs probably is millions that could have gone to legitimate court cases.

Regret at being absurdly greedy? Doubtful. Why start now? No wonder he killed himself.

Much More Important than AEG Hiring Dr. Murray with Jackson telling them to. It also Proves Michael Was a JUNKIE all on his own and AEG had nothing to do with it.

Michael Jackson can now be known as the "King Of Junkies"

*******Why is it that when someone has an issue with Rx drugs, illegal drugs or alcohol it's considered a disease, a sad situation and we pity them EXCEPT when it's Michael Jackson? So many horrible comments.
