Sure, Batkid's in Remission

11/19/2013 7:15 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The Make-a-Wish Foundation has a message for the cold-hearted jerks who complained Batkid didn't deserve his bat-wish because he's in remission -- HOW DARE YOU?!!

If you haven't heard, Make-A-Wish really outdid itself -- turning San Francisco into Gotham City for 5-year-old cancer patient Miles Scott, who wanted to be Batman for a day.

Miles has been battling lymphoblastic leukemia since he was 20 months old, but some (heinous) people on the Internet have had the audacity to say he didn't deserve his wish because he's currently in remission.

Make-A-Wish rep Josh deBerge says that's just wrong, telling us ... "We would never penalize a child for getting better."

According to the rep, when Miles was referred to the foundation he met all three eligibility requirements: 1) a life-threatening medical condition, 2) between 2-and-a-half and 18 years old, and 3) hadn't received a wish from another wish-granting organization.

And Josh says that's all that matters.

Suck it, haters.

This was a wonderful gesture by everyone. However, if everybody that participated for this child's dream, could also donate just $20.00 to the Make A Wish Foundation, other children can also have their dreams played out as well. Just sayin' - spread the love for others as well.

This kid is amazing! And just because his illness is in remission should not detour this child from getting his wish! Those people complaining and making snide comments...I wish upon you people to have a child struggling with a terminal illness and see how it feels to have the shoe on the other foot!! Then maybe you'd would have the heart to understand! Oh and inconsiderate jerks....your ass is not a hat! GO BAT KID!!!

Anybody who tries to turn this awesomely wonderful amazing gift that was given to this beautiful little boy, into anything other then that is just full of hate. You have an ugly soul.

Why would someone complain about this? This kid has been through more in 5 years than most 30 year olds have dealt with in their entire lives.. Plus he's not out of the woods yet - it is very common for the cancer (and other forms of cancer) to come back..

He is at risk and will spend his entire life at doctor's offices trying to make sure it doesn't come back.. and if it does, then he'll be back on the
vicious chemo circle..

It takes a low sub-human to complain about this poor kid..

Really Harvey - You could not just go with the positive and not let the nasty people out there disappear into the sunset without any publicity. I asked you to cover the feel good story....I guess its not a story until there is controversy.

Your "Batman" is encouraging boys as young as 5-years-old to wear Spandex and roam the streets of our major cities in the middle of the night and I for one, refuse to be a part of your obviously Gay Agenda.

There are actually over 1,000 voters that think he didn't deserve his wish? Where the hell do we live these days? Land of the morons. Should be 100% Not 97%

In the vote on if the kid deserved it or not, 3% said he did not deserve it. For you 3% I hope that you get cancer.

Batkid is the cutest thing I've ever seen! Make-A-Wish did an AMAZING job and anyone who has anything bad to say needs to shut up!

The people who paid for it felt he deserved it. That's all that matters. When i first saw this story, I figured someone would complain.

No kid deserves to get cancer, PERIOD. Kudos to Make A Wish for doing this while *******s with no life criticize.

I'm gonna say what some of you don't seem to grasp. THIS IS FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!! THE WHOLE THING IS FAKE!!!!!!
We as a people/sheep have become so accustomed to simply believing whatever's placed in front of us that we're missing the obvious. Ask yourself the following:
1) When has Make-A-Wish EVER done anything on this scale?
2) How did 20,000 people show up on the fly?
3) Why are they granting wishes to a kid that is not terminally ill? I thought that was the whole point of the foundation.
4) Where are pics of a sick Miles?
5) Wouldn't a bat suit have sufficed???? Did it really take an entire city to grant a wish? I think not.
6) Why are celebrities involved in making videos for this particular kid?
7) Since when did the President record videos for Make-A-Wish kids?
8) Why is Congress involved by "making pleas"?
9) How is a kid who received his last chemo treatment a mere 5 months ago busting around town on an action-packed crusade?
10) How did ALL the media outlets know to be there?
11) What is the govt's obsession w/ Batman? There's something to it. Oh but you guys probably think the movie theater shooting was real, too. Sandy Hook also appears on a map in The Dark Knight Rises.
12) How much did this b.s. cost?!?!?!? Are none of you questioning how much it cost to pull off this "gift" for a kid who isn't dying???
13) Isn't it odd that according to this kid's dad, "We come from a very small town, 1,000 people, where it’s nothing like this". Yeah, because no one knows these people.
14) Why are you people so quick to dismiss anyone who states the obvious? Check the facts before you attack. It's all right there in your faces but you're ignoring the clues. BATKID IS NOT REAL PEOPLE!!!!!!

All of this is nothing more than a DISTRACTION under the guise of a feel-good story involving a child. Those of you who are going off on the people who aren't buying this probably believe that 9/11, Sandy Hook, the Colorado movie shooting, etc are all real. Don't believe anything you see. Literally.

WAKE UP, PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lucille Warnick

I watch TMZ daily and saw one of your own "correspondents" who are on show make the statement that it should have been a kid who still had cancer. Harvey and crew were shocked and forced him to retract. It just showed how ignorant he was about cancer .
