The TMZ Guide to Console Camping
With Friday's release of the PS3 finally just hours away, it's time for diehard gamers to forsake their jobs, families and all personal responsibilities to wait in a line outside of an electronics superstore.
If you happen to be one of the people who have the vacation time available to use for a chance to buy the PS3, here are a few tips from your gamer pals at TMZ.com:
1. Don't go it alone. All it takes is one trip to the can at Taco Bell to lose your place in line.
2. Pizza is your friend, it can be eaten both hot and cold and is a perfect bargining tool for fellow campers, and can be delivered directly to you in line.
3. Dress in layers. November nights can be chilly and warm gloves will keep you from dropping your new toy after purchase because your hands no longer function.
4. Party! Bring your PSP or Nintendo DS; if there's any place people are going to have their portable gaming devices out and ready to get on a funky game of Mario Kart, it's in a line to buy a gaming system.
Now get out that fake fur parka and sleeping bag. It's time to show those Star Wars nerds what real geeks are made of.
