Bobby's emotions got the best of him while Tommy Davidson was heaping praise on him at the 26th annual Heroes and Legends Awards ... given to celebs who help at risk youth in their communities.

El DeBarge, Tony Toni Toné, and jazz great Barbara Morrison were also honored.
