NHL's P.K. Subban -- I Want to Be Known As a Great Player ... Not Just Black Player
NHL's P.K. Subban I Want to Be Known As A Great Player ... Not Just A Black Player
P.K. Subban says he's sick of being known as the black guy in the NHL -- and would rather be known as "one of the best players in the league" ... regardless of race.
The Montreal Canadiens superstar was out at The Nice Guy in Hollywood Monday night -- when we asked him what it was like being one of only 20 black players in the league in 2015.
"I like to be recognized as one of the best players in the league, not just a black player," Subban told us.
FYI-- Subban's been a stud on the ice ... a 2-time All Star and the 2013 James Norris trophy winner for best defensive player in the league.
Still, Subban admits he's in an interesting spot -- considering the lack of diversity in the league ... and says he's considering making a documentary on his journey.
