Taylor Swift failed to make an impression on Britney Spears ... either of the TWO times they met.

Britney was on Australia's KIIS radio with Kyle and Jackie O, when they asked who she'd prefer making the long ass flight to Aussie land with -- Katy Perry or Taylor? Brit's pick was Taylor, and her explanation was logical.

She'd already met Katy, so she'd rather hang with Taylor "because I’ve never met her before.”

Ehhh ... yes you did, Brit. Most recently in 2008 at the VMAs, and another time when Taylor was just getting started in the biz.
