Ryan Lochte is officially back home ... and he's ditched that ridiculous hair.

Lochte arrived to his Charlotte, NC crib with girlfriend Kayla Rae Reid Saturday afternoon ... and one thing's for sure, he's not looking too jovial.

As TMZ reported ... the USOC says it's still looking over Lochte's case and will make a decision regarding any possible discipline in the coming weeks.
