Katie Holmes turned heads bringing Jackie Kennedy back to life on TV a few years ago -- so well, in fact, that she's taking another crack at the role ... only now as Jackie O.

We got Katie outside FOX in NYC and she talked about playing the former First Lady in her later years -- after Bobby's assassination -- in a TV miniseries called, "The Kennedys: After Camelot."
