Here's Jamie Foxx -- channeling his inner QB -- and sinking a 3/4 court shot with a football ... like a boss!

The Oscar winner rolled through the Sports Academy training center in Thousand Oaks, CA for a workout when someone handed him a football and challenged him to hit a shot.

By the way, Foxx played QB back in high school ... and was pretty good too -- throwing for more than 1,000 yards for Terrell High School in Texas.

Plus, he'll always be Willie Beamen, baby!
