Broncos' Jonathon Cooper Arrested For Domestic Violence ... In Custody At Local Jail

10:51 AM PT -- We're learning more about the arrest of Jonathon Cooper ... which stemmed from an argument with his girlfriend over a cheating allegation.
Thursday night, Cooper was hanging out at his place with a woman he'd been seeing on-and-off for years, when she confronted him over alleged infidelity.
The 28-year-old woman told police she grabbed Jonathon's phone and threw it against a wall, before again gaining possession of the device.
Eventually, there was a struggle, and Jonathon managed to retrieve his phone.
According to the probable cause affidavit, he then demanded that she leave his home, or he allegedly told her he would break her cell.
She didn't leave, and Cooper seemingly followed through on his threat, admitting to biting and breaking the screen of the iPhone 17.
Based on the officer's investigation, both Jonathon and the woman were arrested.
Jonathon Cooper is behind bars in a Colorado jail ... after the standout Broncos linebacker was arrested Thursday night around 11 PM, TMZ Sports has learned.
It's unclear what led up to the arrest, but the 6th-year pro is being held on two counts of domestic violence, as well as criminal mischief.
The 28-year-old was booked into a detention facility at 2:38 AM.
JC is scheduled to go before a judge this morning ... and he's got another hearing set for Monday.
Cooper was a seventh-round draft pick out of Ohio State in 2021, and he's been a steal.
Last year, Jonathon was a major part of the Broncos' dominant defense. He racked up 8 sacks and 50 combined tackles in 17 games.
