LeBron James will be getting some royal treatment from a couple of iconic Philly spots ... with a pair of cheesesteak pads promising to roll out the cheese whiz-colored carpet for King James ... now that he's joining the city's NBA team.

Over at the iconic Pat’s King of Steaks, they're temporarily changing up how their customers order their fan-beloved Whiz Wit to reflect the new king in town, naming it "The King’s Way." The OG Whiz Wit will keep its classic ingredients: cheese Whiz with onions on juicy steak ... so no worries, there.

Frank Olivieri, third-generation owner of Pat's tells TMZ... “Everyone knows there’s only one way to order the classic, and now there’s a new way to say it. When you come to the window and ask for The King’s Way, we’ll know exactly what you mean.”

Meanwhile, Geno's Steaks has promised a meal fit for King James in the establishment's coveted VIP booth ... as well as a lesson with Geno himself on how to grill up some of the finest cheesesteaks the City of Brotherly Love has to offer.

President Geno Vento tells TMZ... "Our VIP booth – the hardest seat in Philadelphia to get – already has LeBron's name on it. Whenever he's ready, we'll welcome him with a cheesesteak, hand him the spatula, and even let him spend some time behind the grill for a little cheesesteak 101 with me personally. Every Philadelphia legend has a story at Geno's, and we'd love for LeBron's to begin here."

Now that LeBron James is heading to Philly, should Bronny follow his pops?? Devean George tells TMZ Sports he's against the idea ... 'cause now's the time to see what the young hooper can do on his own.

We caught up with the three-peat Lakers alum this week -- prior to the King's shocking 76ers announcement -- and asked about the Bronny situation with No. 23 no longer on the squad.

He said if the Lakers really feel like Bronny is an asset, they should prove it by putting him out on the court.

Former NFL guard Jordan Devey -- who played for the New England Patriots when they won the Super Bowl in 2014 -- has died by suicide, his family announced.

His wife, Linsey Devey, announced his death on social media Friday -- saying it would have been their 15th wedding anniversary -- and linked to a GoFundMe which said he took his own life.

Jordan and Linsey share four children who Linsey said have his "eyes, freckles, and compassion." She added, "You were our hero and our hearts ache in your absence. We love you. We miss you. And as you said in your last words to me, 'we’ll talk soon.'"

NFL star Tyreek Hill claims his mother-in-law has had enough time to recover from a stroke … and he wants her to turn over communications with her daughter ASAP amid their ongoing legal war.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Tyreek is asking a judge to intervene in his legal dispute with his estranged wife Keeta Vaccaro's mom, Alesia Vaccaro.

Tyreek claims he asked Alesia to turn over communications with her daughter, call records, and other docs. The court ordered Alesia to turn over the material in early June ... but Tyreek agreed to give her a two-week extension.

Ryan Clark is finally speaking out after his abrupt exit from ESPN, and things got emotional.

The former safety-turned-longtime network analyst broke down in tears while reflecting on his more than a decade-long stay with the "Worldwide Leader" ... during the latest episode of his 'Pivot' podcast.

The waterworks started when Fred Taylor, Ryan's cohost, asked him if there was anything he'd "do differently" in hindsight, prompting the emotional response.

LeBron James has made his decision -- he's joining the Philadelphia 76ers.

The announcement came down on Friday via X ... with James explaining why he's going to the City of Brotherly Love after initially contemplating retirement.

"I thought I was done when the season ended. I wasn't ready to announce it, and I knew I needed some time to really decide, but I was pretty sure I played my last game," James said seconds ago. "I was honest at that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and deicide if I still love this game. I still truly love this game, and I have more to give."

It sure seems like LeBron James was going to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers all along ... 'cause the King's comments from last week are resurfacing on Friday -- and it couldn't have been more obvious.

James made a number of podcast appearances during Fanatics Fest in NYC ... and during a live episode of "Mind The Game," his guest co-host Tyrese Haliburton had an interesting way to ask a question about his career.

"What are you going on, year 76??" Hali asked. The four-time champion joked it was more like year 79 ... and the two continued with the chat. Chances are Haliburton was in the know prior to taking the stage, as James even admitted they addressed the topic beforehand.

Nick Bosa is happy to see Ryan Clark out of the job at ESPN -- the San Francisco 49ers star woke up from social media hibernation to weigh in on the move ... two years after the analyst criticized him for wearing a MAGA hat after a game.

Bosa -- who last tweeted four years ago -- shared a single "OK" hand emoji in response to the report of Clark getting laid off earlier this week ... a clear sign Smaller Bear is just like an elephant, 'cause he never forgets.

The beef between the two goes back to October 2024 ... when Clark teed off on Bosa for rocking a white "Make America Great Again" hat as he crashed Brock Purdy, George Kittle, and Isaac Guerendo's postgame interview with NBC's Melissa Stark on "Sunday Night Football."

Adrien Broner was streaming with Deen The Great when he learned in real-time a woman was taking him to court over an alleged sexual battery, TMZ has learned.

The former boxer was live streaming Thursday when an associate flagged to him TMZ's exclusive about the lawsuit. Adrien and his friends didn't seem to be too concerned with the former boxer and pals making jokes about the situation.

As TMZ first reported, a woman named Havana Saint claimed she was encouraged to drink heavily at an after-party on June 2, and Adrien let her stay at his place for the night when she was too drunk to drive home. At some point during the night, Havana says Adrien tried forcing sex on her -- including "sexual intercourse, oral sex and a hand job" -- and alleged he exposed his genitals to her and tried forcing her hand on them.

Mike Tyson is changing his tune on the whole "legacy" conversation ... saying he now knows how he wants to be remembered, and it's got little to do with his brilliance in the ring!

The boxing legend chopped it up with Babcock about his second Mike Tyson Invitational amateur boxing showcase going down at SAHARA Las Vegas (fights stream here), where hundreds of young fighters get to display their skills in front of trainers, scouts, and Iron Mike himself.

Trump kickstarted the ceremony by praising the revamped Rose Garden ... pointing out how it's more friendly for women who wear high heels -- and taking a shot at his predecessor, Joe Biden, as he listed all the new improvements to the area.

When he got to the task at hand, Trump put the spotlight on the Dodgers' ownership and players ... giving a big shoutout to Shohei Ohtani, for being a great two-way player, just like the legendary Babe Ruth.

Caitlin Clark's no stranger to taking a beating on and off the court -- this time the thumping is coming from a USA Today writer who's now scrambling to clean up her own mess after the internet lost its mind.

Nancy Armour torched the Indiana Fever superstar this week in a story titled, "Caitlin Clark's flopping isn't just annoying -- it's becoming dangerous" ... where she argues CC's dramatics are putting the safety of Black and queer WNBA players at risk.

The reaction was fast and furious. Fellow media members and sports fans ripped the piece as over-the-top and totally unfair.

On Thursday, Armour admitted she missed the mark ... while still standing by the core of her attack.

"In my recent column, I made an inartful comparison with the murder of Emmett Till," she wrote. "I intended to connect the issues the WNBA is currently facing with its All-Star Game being hosted in Till’s hometown of Chicago. I obviously did not provide enough context for that."

Then she doubled down.

"However, this point stands: There is a history in this country of perceived threats to white women being weaponized against African-Americans, and the danger that poses to Black players in the league. Players have been abused online and have reported receiving death threats. That has to be taken more seriously."

Whether the clarification cools things off remains to be seen.

Ty Lawson is breaking his silence after his most recent arrest ... claiming he's never experienced such racism in his life -- and he's calling out a "pasty face white woman" for lying.

The former Denver Nuggets star went to social media on Tuesday ... saying, "Being black in America is tough…. Being lied by a pasty face white woman wild… stay outta castle rock Colorado!!!!"

He continued ... "This the wildest and more racist s*** I been thru."
