Pete Hegseth says he's keeping it real with his son when it comes to the Iran War ... telling his 13-year-old the troops who died in Iran made the ultimate sacrifice for the next generation.
President Trump's Defense Secretary was talking to the media Thursday at the Pentagon when he mentioned his son ... claiming his kid popped in to his office the night before, when he was working on a speech, to ask him about the war and the families of the dead soldiers he went to visit at Dover Air Force Base.
Hegseth says he told his son the troops died for his son's generation so they don't have to deal with a "nuclear Iran."
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is daring Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, to show his face ... accusing him of hiding amid claims he's been disfigured, instead of speaking publicly.
Hegseth ripped into Khamenei after the 56-year-old’s first message since taking power aired on Iranian state TV ... a written statement calling for unity that was read aloud by a presenter.
In a Friday briefing, the Pentagon chief questioned why Khamenei didn’t appear on camera himself ... suggesting he’s scared, injured, or on the run after the recent strikes that killed his father.
The Department of War is reportedly so mad about some pictures taken of Pete Hegseth that officials have told several photographers not to come back to the Pentagon.
Here's the deal ... the Secretary of War has delivered multiple press briefings this month in the aftermath of the United States' bombing of Iran -- the first taking place on March 2.
Photographers were allowed in the room during the briefing ... but, The Washington Post reports, photos they took of Secretary Hegseth upset DoW officials.
According to WaPo -- citing two anonymous officials -- photographers were banned from briefings on March 4 and March 10 ... and Pentagon staff photogs took photos instead.
