Congressman John James is taking his best shot at distracting voters in his home state from his island vacation -- amid the ongoing government shutdown -- by reminding them he's a badass with a gun.
Here's the deal ... yesterday, right around the time we posted a pic of Rep. James on his Turks & Caicos getaway, James posted a clip of himself unloading hand guns and assault rifles on targets and knocking out some pullups. Y'know? Super alpha male stuff.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
In his caption, JJ said he went out shooting with the good people at the local outlet the Michigan Enjoyer, and he definitely did ... but it was 8 freakin' months ago!
1:53 PM PT -- The DOJ's Rapid Response X account is attempting to debunk the now-viral pic of Pam Bondi's portrait in the trash ... claiming the shot is "Fake News." It also included a photo of the framed picture hanging on the wall -- calling that "Real News."
It's unclear when the picture of the portrait hanging on the wall was taken, for the record.
Pam Bondi looks like she's considered nothing but trash at the Department of Justice ... because hours after President Trump canned her as attorney general, her framed portrait was in the trash can.
Check out this photo, obtained by MS NOW, showing Pam's official portrait resting upside down in an otherwise empty wired trash can in the DOJ office. Ouch.
Pam's portrait used to be hanging on a wall alongside portraits of Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance ... but now it looks pretty lonely in its new home.
U.S. Rep. Seth Magaziner takes the prize for most unique Congressional recess plans ... partying with a bunch of 'Real Housewives,' despite the fact Congress has done nothing to end the shutdown and get federal workers paid.
We got pics of the Congressman from Rhode Island inside the watch party for the premiere episode of "The Real Housewives of Rhode Island."
Magaziner mugged for pics at the fancy event with various Bravo fans and one of his cohosts, State Sen. Hanna Gallo ... and, of course, some cast members -- including Kelsey Swanson and Liz McGraw -- were also there.
President Trump might be eyeing a fresh round of firings in his administration after he gave the ax to Attorney General Pam Bondi, according to reports.
The Atlantic and Politico published articles Thursday night outlining Trump's next cabinet members to possibly get the boot. Here's the list: Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, FBI Director Kash Patel and Army Secretary Dan Driscoll.
One senior Trump aide told Politico ... the potential firings are targeting officials who have underperformed and generated too much negative attention.
Jack Black is not getting the band back together ... telling us Tenacious D still isn't reuniting for a new project despite reports to the contrary.
We caught up with the voice of Bowser himself in New York City Thursday afternoon ... and we asked him when we can expect to see TD pumping out new projects.
On Tuesday -- during the opening night of his "Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour" in Minneapolis -- The Boss kicked off the concert by calling Trump's White House a "corrupt, incompetent, racist, reckless and treasonous administration."
He urged the audience to choose "hope over fear, democracy over authoritarianism, the rule of law over lawlessness, ethics over unbridled corruption, resistance over complacency, unity over division and peace over war."
Rep. Jim McGovern has boots on the ground in Washington D.C. -- he's there hoping to vote on a bill to end the government shutdown, but says Capitol Hill is a ghost town ... so, he's taking shots at Lindsey Graham.
The Congressman from Massachusetts joined us Thursday on "TMZ Live," and told us Speaker Mike Johnson needs to call the House back from their 2-week spring break, so they can fund the government.
Problem is, there ain't exactly a lot of other lawmakers in town ... we've seen them enjoying the recess in places like West Hollywood, Las Vegas, Scotland and Disney World.
In the time between TigerWoods flipping his car and being arrested for DUI, the golf legend dialed up President DonaldTrump from the scene of the crash.
TMZSports has obtained body cam footage that shows Tiger hanging around as cops assessed the scene. He was not cuffed at the time and was permitted to sit in a police cruiser before cops had him perform a field sobriety test.
At one point, Tiger walked away from the cruiser and into the distance ... forcing police to call him back to the scene. While Tiger is walking back, he appears to be on the phone and can be heard saying, “Thank you so much. All right. You got it. Bye.”
The officer then asked Tiger to remain close by … to which he replied: “Yeah, I was just talking with the President.”
🎶 Aruba, Jamaica ... ooh, Rep. John James wants to take himself to a secluded island during his 2-week recess as the government shutdown drags on -- but we found him anyway!
The Congressman from Michigan is down in Turks & Caicos, where he was photographed Wednesday. Our sources tell us he's down in the Caribbean for a family vacay ... he looked to be enjoying a meal with his wife, Elizabeth.
Distill Social, a grassroots Michigan outlet, first posted the shot of JJ's getaway ... which, of course, comes as thousands of government workers would love to be on island time -- if only they were getting paid!
Senator Cory Booker is more than 2,000 miles from work, chillin' at a swanky L.A. hotel for a little breakfast.
The New Jersey Senator was hanging with his wife at the restaurant inside The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills. They were photographed around 9:30 AM Thursday, and it looks like they may have finished a workout.
The hotel is one of L.A.'s finest, fit certainly for a Senator who is on his Spring Break.
The Florida man accused of killing his politician wife, Nancy Bowen, told his uncle he shot his wife dead with a shotgun because he "couldn't take it anymore" ... at least according to cops.
TMZ obtained the complaint affidavit from the case against Nancy's husband, Stephen Bowen, and police say a man claiming to be Stephen's uncle called 911 and said his nephew confessed to killing Nancy.
Trump posted on Truth Social that Pam "will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector." Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will be taking over.
The president wrote that Bondi had done a "tremendous job," calling her a "Great American Patriot and a loyal friend."
But sources tell CNN Donald had a "tough" talk with her on Wednesday ... reportedly giving her a heads up that she was going to be replaced.
Pam Bondi could be on the outs as Donald Trump's attorney general ... a new report reveals.
According to the New York Times, four people "familiar with the conversations" say Trump has "discussed" sacking Pam because he's "frustrated with her leadership."
NYT's sources -- who "spoke on the condition of anonymity" -- say Trump has toyed with the idea of replacing Bondi with Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lee Zeldin ... if she does get the boot.
2:07 PM PT -- The senator has responded in the war of words, posting on X ... "Have at it, clown. Following right-wing lies and trollery instead of facts not a great look for an FBI Director, even one as lame and discredited as you."
FBI Director Kash Patel ain't letting anyone stomp on his name without a fight ... hitting back at Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse's criticism by claiming he bars people who "look like" him from his private beach club.
The drama played out on X, where Whitehouse brought up the latest lawsuit in which Patel is named. Whitehouse reposted a Politico report on the suit, and wrote ... "Re: Patel, fourth lawsuit (he’ll have to testify); lies to Congress; jets and partying at our expense -- his day will come."
ICYMI ... Patel is being sued by 3 ex-FBI officers for alleging he and the Justice Department engaged in an illegal "retribution campaign" against them after they helped investigate President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
But, Patel fired back by replying to Whitehouse with a list of -- what he deems -- FBI wins in Rhode Island last year.
