61. They did the newleywedd show so that we could get to know them,they want the world to judge them(esp Jessica)- thats how they sale cd's and movies and sale product. When it comes to their divorce-there wouldnt even be one if she put her husband first and not her dad! MONEY MONEY MONEY! Thats all Joe Simpson knows! As long as the girls keep singing he gets richer. He put Nick in the ground and made Jessie rise(when he was nicks agent)again, he was controlling the situation. He needs to get his own talent! Im so glad to see Nick(along with Drew) taking control of his singing career etc cause he has so much talent. I do firmly believe this couple was and is meant to b together.

62. There is one scene I will never forget- on Punk'd, the joke was that some backwoods trailer-hauling relative of Jessica's showed up on the Simpson/Lachey property to squat there in the name of family.
When Mr/Mrs. Lachey went into the house, (after he berated her on camera), you could hear Mr. Lachey ripping Mrs. Lachey a new one for being so available to her family. I went "whoa" not just for what he said but for his screaming at her behind camera and yet, not quite out of earshot of the mic.

When the media depicts Mr. Lachey as this victim, I chuckle. When he released his song, "Pieces of Me" I chuckled again.

His biggest problem seemed to be that she was in demand- and he wasn't.

63. What a great man Nick Lachey is to walk away with only a pitence of what he was truely entitled to. Under California rules he was entitled to 1/2 of everything earned by both while married.

Little Jess will soon disappear so will her fony looks while Nick will just keep getting more hansome. Too bad Nick married the "virlolgin" because without him nobody would know who Jess was. I kept thinking she was one of the "Simpsons".

Nobody will ever love her like Nick did...she might as well kiss love goodby and cuddle up to her money while it lasts.

66. I have been a Jessica Simpson fan for along time, clear back when her pop career started. I was amazed at her voice in "I wanna love you forever". I thought she really stood out against Britney and Christina. When she started to Date Nick I liked him as well, I had no idea who he was prior to him being her boyfriend. When they broke up in 2001, I was heartbroken for them and then over joyed for them when they got back together, got engaged and then married.

I think newlyweds was there first mistake.They became overnight sensations. They had never had to deal with that and balance out there relationship before. I do think her parents were too involved and should have stepped back and let them alone. there next mistake was Jessica doing "Dukes of Hazzard". She shouldn't have portrayed herself in that light as in reality she was a wife.

They were Both linked to people during the marriage. Jessica was link to that ba, bam guy and Johnny Knoxville and Nick had been linked to Jenna Jameson(a porn star) and the college girl at the football game in Columbus. Who knbows but them if there was any trutht o those rumors. I will say that for being heartbroken Nick had seemed to move on with the other girls rather quickly.

I do think however that nick would have dropped those other girls in a minute if Jessica had agreed to work on their marriage. Jessica walked away when things got tough. She should have step out of the spotlight and made her marriage work. She needs to realize that one day Daddy isn't going to be here anymore.

I think Jessica is suffering. Her new single isn't up to task with her previous records. She looks tired, stressed and used up honestly. The light in her eye is gone. Nick seems to be doing great with his music.

I have lost alot of respect for her allowing the Divorce to continue. I hope Nick moves on from her as I would hate to see him with her again and then lose her for the third time.

70. I think it is only fair for Nick to get half of the money earned while they were married. After all he is HALF of the Newlyweds show.

I agree with not downing Jessica anymore. The public will decide if they want to buy her music or not. I know I won't, but I didn't buy her other CD's either.

I did however buy Nick's new one and I love it. I remember my daughter having a 98 Degree CD and I liked their style. I'm glad to see Nick still has talent and is going forward. I wish them both the best. :)

73. I hope that the two are able to have happy successful lives separate from each other. I think Nick was probably a little too old and mature for her. He was unwise to ignore his gut instinct that she wasn't ready for marriage. Jessica was ready for the fairy tale princess wedding and not much else. I think Jessica realizes that she needs some time to find herself, have fun, and grow up. I hope that she finds someone that loves her and respects her as a person and not as some silly character. I don't believe that she's all that we saw on their reality show. I think she wants to be respected and independent but Nick grew used to her dependence on him. It was bound to happen. Best of luck to them both.
