Violates Probation,

Could Face Jail Time

2/28/2007 2:24 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Paris HiltonTMZ has confirmed that Paris Hilton violated the terms of her probation last night when she was pulled over for driving on a suspended license, and could spend up to 90 days in jail as a result.

Hilton pled no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving after cops arrested her on September 7 for a DUI in Hollywood. As a result, the DMV suspended her license, and a judge placed Hilton on 36 months probation, with one major condition being: to "obey all laws."

Last night, Hilton was stopped around 10:30 PM after cops say they noticed Hilton speeding down Sunset Blvd. without headlights. Deputies then discovered she was driving with a suspended license, arrested the heiress and impounded her car.

A hearing will be set to discuss Hilton's violation.

Why do they even bother calling this celebrity justice? The fact is, if you are a celebrity, there is no justice! If any one of us violated probation we'd be arrested immediatly on a P/O hold! The probation agent can take up to 25 days before they even have to talk to you! So in the mean time you sit in jail . And if your arrest was for the same reason you were put on probation to begin with, you get revoked. Just ask my Ex . Too bad he wasn't a celebrity.LOL

If she dosen't sit in jail for 90 days ( or even 1 day!!), any bets there's a donation to a local politician? If you're rich in LA, you do as you please; laws are for the rest of us! Then again, Ms. Gabor served a few days for slapping an officer. That was probably the token celebrity; we'll never see a Hilton in jail. Too bad.

Send the bitch to jail! It's not like she's of use to society anyway. Obviously she's a detriment!!!

Contact the LA Sheriff's Dept. to pressure them to arrest Paris Hilton. Have her arrested the old-fashioned way. Don't give her the opp. to do it the wuss way by turning herself in. We want cuffs!

well we will see if justice is really blind will the law treat her like they treat every other person who has violated its laws, in spite of the fact that she was given an opportunity not to go to jail and just pay fines she did not learn her lesson and continues to disregard our laws. I think she should go to jail just like every one else who violated our laws.

I think it's time Paris gets whats comming to her she makes fun of everybody else and she's got the money to pay for the car like a Bentley and if you do the crime you need to do the time!

As for her probation...she is not even suppose to be going to bars or consuming alcohol. Usually you're suppose to spend 24 hours in jail for you 1st DUI, plus you have to attend DUI school. Here is a girl in the public eye, drives on suspended license and they impound her car....WOW!! I'm curious if she will spend 1 night in jail. You always hear about these famous people at the arrest time but then the story fades away. Justice should be done. She is no better than the ones sitting in jail. I personally think she should do jail time for violating her probation.....We'll see.....

I think it is about time that the system doesn't give special priviledges to the rich and famous. Any average person off the street would of gotten the same sentence for violating probation twice. I am tired of hearing these celebrities getting arrested and getting off with a slap on the wrist. It is rediculous what people have to go through, but everyone should have to deal with the consequences no matter who you are!!!

Until Paris Hilton can get her act together while driving, she should definitely serve the full 45-day jail time. Her lawyer Howard Weitzman, believes the judge was trying to make an example of who she is by sentencing her to jail time. I think it's possible she might not get any jail time for who she is. It's pathetic if she does jail time, that due to good behaviour and crowded jails, that she might get off earlier. I heard some people being interviewed on Larry King tonight and someone who's been inside the Linwood, California jail system, said it's rough. A DUI is a DUI no matter who you are and jail is a good place to think about what you did and why you did it. Maybe she and her parents are simply livid because Paris got caught or....maybe her parents didn't! know she'd been driving at night, without her headlights on and drunk. I'd be curious to know what motivates her to do what she does, party hearty, drink then get behind the wheel of her car. She's not the first "celebrity" to get a DUI and she certainly won't be the last.
Sometimes a jail sentence can wake a person up as to the severity of what they did.
