Celebrity Justice
Brandy Seeks Guidance

Embattled "America's Got Talent" judge Brandy Norwood appears to be searching for enlightment.

The "Moesha" star finally surfaced in West Hollywood on Wednesday outside the Bodhi Tree bookstore, which specializes in New Age and other spiritual texts. The R&B diva hasn't been seen on the town much since TMZ broke news of her involvement in a holiday freeway crash that claimed the life of a 38-year-old woman.

Brandy's car troubles are not completely behind her. The City Attorney has yet to decide if charges will be brought against the starlet. She was snapped, notably, entering the passenger side of a shiny new silver Range Rover.

16. OMG! I can't believe some of the comments on here. My brothers mother was killed in a car crash and the guy served time because he was drunk.....notice I didn't use the word ACCIDENT....an accident is exaclty that...something done not on purpose...You guys are so quick to send people to jail but let me tell you...Brandy's mind will never let her forget it...her having to live with that everyday is far worse than any jail sentence....that is a punishment in itself.

My prayers go out to the family and to Brandy because BOTH parties are faced with a life changing event.

17. Here we go again. People will you stop with the racist comments. One Brandy did not mean to kill that women. Two, you never have anything to say about what Britney Spears has done, Paris Hilton, and the list goes on and on. These people drink and drive, do drugs and we have no idea what else they do. Brandy has not been known for none of that. She has always been a nice person and stayed in her own business. What happened to her is an accident, I think some of you need to look the word up to see what it means. This has nothing to do with her being Black, this is just the case that some people who come on this site cannot stand the fact that some Blacks live a positive life and are doing good. We do not know what happened that day, so stop trying to judge. For the person who stated that Brandy was going really fast on the HWY, she was going about 65; and the speed limit was 60, we all do that on the HWY, so chill out. We do not know what Brandy is going through, I am sure that she is going through a lot right now. Brandy has been a positive person since she came out. She has made mistakes here and there, but she is only human. Please chill out on these comments that you make.

18. RL;
Brandy has done all she could. Before the woman passed away, Brandy paid all of the hospital expenses. When the woman died, Brandy paid the funeral costs. Brandy can't bring that woman back but she has made amends.

21. I was so surprised by the cruel comments about me on this site. (no one caring about my autobiography.....on one and that I was nuts)

I merely posted my opinion as a grieving family member of someone who died in a similar accident. (no drinking and a seeminly nice person) If someone is not paying full attention to their surrounding while operating a motor vehicle, it poses a danger to that driver and those around them. (No word on whether Brandy was on a cell phone, changing a radio station, in a hurry, looking down, etc....)

The bottom line is that Brandy's actions caused the death of an innocent woman.

Yes, it was an accident, but some of you made it sound like "oh well....." It happened because she didn't pay attention. Brandy herself said it was her fault to witnesses.

I don't wish her bad.............only an appopriate sentence so that she will learn from this and not repeat her actions. Why should she get special treatment? Because she is nice and a celebrity? The law is the law and it was upsetting to me that she had not been charged. Anyone else would have been.

For those who were so mean to me................. if you had written that you had lost your loved one in an accident ~ I would have posted my deepest condolences. How sad that you both have such a mean and hurtful spirit.

24. Unfortunately, some choose to make derogatory, racist remarks anytime a story appears featuring a black person. It is just sheer stupidity.

25. I love how Farah is fighting racisim with racisim. !!! Smart one! How do you know white people are typing that stuff, I have seen black perople that hate black perople and mexican people that hate mexican people. I don't agree with a word they are saying and i am not defending them for saying it, But how do you know it was a white person.

27. I hope when this goes to trial, that it is only fair to the victims family. A fine would not do her any good. She needs to learn a lesson and really pay. It doesn't appear that she has learned anything by going out flaunting her millions shopping and driving another new car. She will probably find god now and claim she isn't smoking the crack cocaine when she was driving erratically, swerving in and out of traffic, texting and murdered the innocent man. He was probably a father, brother, son and a worthwile individual. I just hope if any of us a re selected for the jury we can keep that in mind.

29. Seeking Englightment? What a lode, she positioning to look remorseful for her negligence and hopefully stay out of the slammer. Bottom line, it will probably work; however, I'm sure a civil suit against her will be tougher. Halleluja, she's seen the light!
