PETA to Hasselbeck

'Cluck You!'

8/2/2007 12:36 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Whoopi's long overdue employment announcement wasn't the only news on "The View" yesterday. Elisabeth Hasselbeck revealed the thigh slapping news that she has chopped off a chicken's head -- and PETA thinks that's just foul!

Chicken and Elisabeth Hasselbeck
After using hand motions to describe how to accurately decapitate a chicken, grossing out the audience more than she usually does, polite talk then resumed. Now Lizzy's in the soup with PETA, and they had this nugget for the right wing chicken winger:

"PETA has two words for Hasselbeck, 'Cluck you!' Next to Barbara and Joy, who expressed compassion, Elisabeth sat there chirping about the joys of killing defenseless birds. Conservatives love animals too, and she ruffled a lot of feathers today. Now that Whoopi has joined the show, maybe it's time for Hasslebeck's head to go on the chopping block."

Reps for "The View" had no comment.

Glad PETA said "Cluck You" to E.H. She is a moron and a complete waste of oxygen. I've written to "The View" many times imploring them to fire E.H. Surely there HAS to be some conservative entertainer who has a brain -- OR maybe NOT! After all, look what the conservatives have done to our country by supporting "shrub" for president and "darth cheney" for vice president. I work from home and have the tv on for background noise but I simply cannot stand E.H. Instead, I listen to a podcast while working. Maybe when Whoopi arrives on the show, I'll give it another try but I just hope to heaven that E.H. decides to put her family first and leave the show to raise her children!

Bush supporters (sp) like Liz love to say that if we hate Bush and the war to move to Canada.

Well, I say to them that if they love Bush and his war, go and replace the men and women over in Iraq who have been involuntary extended pass their tour of duty, put on a uniform and pick up an M16 and help fight said war if u love it so much!!

These men and woman are away from their families for months at a time without proper food and facilities for hygiene (sp). Plus more of them are coming back in body bags and as amputees all for Bushs' lies, but u Bush and Liz Hasselback supportors think it is A O K.

Who cares how u kill the animal, it still ends up dead.
.
Yes I have toured the various websites and viewed the footage and guess what, I will never be vegan and love leather products and will buy a fur coat this winter.

WE are meant to have meat in our diet and if we did not kill the creature, then it would die in the wild from it's natural predator.

Y is it that PETA attacks people for fur, yet I hear them say nothing about leather? They are the biggest hypocrits (sp). I bet they own alligator shoes and leather coats and eat baked goods which are made with dairy products and have cream with their coffee!!

We would live on a highly restrictive diet if it were up to these morons!

A more humane way of killing....so there is a kind way to kill a living breathing being....talk about an oxymoron...the end result is still death and consumption.

How fast the Democrats forget!!!!!!

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998.

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998.

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998.

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998.

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998.

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999.d his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, Dec, 5, 2001.

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them."
Sen. Carl Levin (d, MI), Sept. 19, 2002.

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seing and developing weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002.

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002.

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force — if necessary — to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002.

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years . We also should remember we have alway s underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Jay Rockerfeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002,

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do."
Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002.

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapo

First of all, I hate the view. The only normal person that was ever on there was Meredith Viera. Rosi was a friut (in every sense of the word), Joy is now the one who is the most normal, Barbra is a bitch- and I will never feel the same about her ever since I saw her be mean to little cute Ross Mathews from Celebrity Fit Club. AND don't even get me started on Elizabeth! She just doesn't know when to stop, she has a bad case of word vomit! Half of the time she doesn't even know what shes talking about. I think she just likes the sound of her own voice. I hope Whoopi puts her in her place, but they will just kick her off too. Someone needs to slap that girl! (as soon as the buns' out of the oven of course)

She is completely useless. Dumb as a box of rocks. Needs a recipe to make ice. And on and on. For the life of me, I can't understand how she's lasted this long. Actually, it's a sad commentary on the show's executives.

I've already said, I'll do her damned job. Rest assured, I couldn't be any worse.

I can't stand EH, she is so awful and frankly she looks like an old hag. She was so cute on Survivor and people really liked her--my god how people change. She looks old and terrible and her conservative ways make her even more unattractive but that said (she reminds me of hideous katie couric in training and I feel her days on the show are numbered) she was on survivor and as many of you know they are hungry and without food much of the time--they were forced to eat rats before so big deal about the chicken but why did she do it? She enjoyed it and that is bizarre. I love animals but I think Peta go too far but I can tell you I couldn't chop the head off and she did seem to enjoy it.

Dr. Bob

Good for Elizabeth! She's not a hypocrite like the rest of her critics. Used to be that everyone grew up killing their own food. Today, most people hire others to do it for them. But, hey, God likes people to kill chickens. That's why he made them taste so good.
