Britney: Can She Pull It Off? She's Nervous, Y'all!

Warm mess Britney Spears is set to get the party started tonight at MTV's Video Music Awards. While she's a VMA vet -- who could forget the Madonna kiss or her snake-charming "I'm a Slave 4 U" number? -- her nerves appear to be getting what's left of the better of her.

On Friday night, after a lengthy rehearsal, Brit-Brit headed out to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with her entourage. According to 24sizzler.com, a source overhead Britney saying how jittery she was about performing on the awards show.

Given the last year or so of her trainwreckedness, like this and this and this and this and this and this and this and this and this and this, it's no wonder Brit's nerves are causing her nausea. Tonight's performance could be the beginning of a new era for the toppled pop princess -- or yet another whooshing slide down the greased slope toward tabloid horror and the D-list .

Get your Weaveguards© on, she's a comin'!

7. In her private life, she may appear to be a complete goofball lacking manners, intelligence, and good taste - - - but PROFESSIONALLY, virtually everything she does is excellent. I have little doubt that she will leave her audience "wowed" (in a good way).

9. Britney.. IS defined as crazy.. foolish; totally unsound; "a crazy scheme with half-baked ideal and ideas"; pushing "a screwball proposal without a prayer of things working" Then she goes wacky.. "had a crazy dream"; abused herself.. "wore a crazy hat" ran around half-naked like someone deranged and possibly dangerous,.
And depraved: marked by immorality; deviating from what is considered right or proper or good; in a state of mental numbness to what is her loss of grace and actual repulsion for her person.. by anyone sane.

10. Jean, get a life and get off the broken record. You have no factual knowledge of her mothering behavior AT ALL.

12. Okay, somebody is delusional. Most successful female of our time? An icon? Yeah, of burned-out train wrecks. You need a Haldol IV, stat. If Britney doesn't pull this off tonight, which she probably won't because she is really just a flaky spoiled brat, there will be three consequences. The first is that her "career" is finito and she will be singing lounge acts for pennies on the dollar until she is an old fat cow (she is half way there already). The second is that millions of people like me will be guffawing for days. The third is that her "performance" will be a cash cow (there I go with the puns again) for the tabs for days. As Coke would say (really must stop with the puns), "Enjoy!"

13. It doesn't matter if she passes this test or not. She has failed as a mother and she will continue to fail as a mother and when she is on her deathbed, that will be the only thought buring in her vacant little brain because in the end, that is the only thing that matters.

Second chance? She is a habitual offender for gawd sakes! Enough is enough! I for one WON'T watch her "performance"..one only needs to be hit in the head with a hammer so many times!

15. I wish her all the luck, Im hoping he proves many wrong. So glad to know that everyone at TMZ is superior and nobody has messed up in their life. Lets face it, Britney is one of the celebs that is more like everyday people. We all make mistakes..it i called life!!! Ever since Harvey has been doing Larry King I stopped watching the show. Funny how he slips up and throws TMZ in at times. Harvey is just jealous, he is the D-list celeb. TMZ....why dont you tru saying something nice about people.

#2...I agree with everything you said!!!
