Dr. Phil Pulls the Plug on Teen Violence Show

4/12/2008 8:04 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has received an exclusive statement from a spokesperson for the Dr. Phil show:

"We have helped guests and potential guests in the past when they need financial assistance to come on the show - assisting with clothing allowance, lost wages, accommodations, travel and necessities. In this case, certain staff members went beyond our guidelines (re: the bail being paid). These staff members have been spoken to and our policies reiterated. In addition, we have decided not to go forward with the story as our guidelines have been compromised."

This isn't the first time Dr. Phil has had a show idea blow up in his face ... this year!

Doctor Death should have pulled the plug on the teen violence show. The manner in which he was trying to put it together was all wrong. I wish Doc would have done the Britney Spears show and allowed her to show the nation what fun it can be watching a mentally ill person meltdown on stage.

Why doesn't he just get a job like the rest of us. Maybe he could work for Miss "O". He could keep her dressing room clean.

So wait, I don't understand. He paid bail for this convict (who showed no remorse for her actions) to come on the show, and now he's pulling the plug on it? Now it's resulting in the 'ringleader' of the attack, walking free when she should be rotting in jail. I heard the victim might have permanent vision and hearing loss on the left side. Just that and the fact that they were laughing about it in their jail cell should be enough to keep their asses in jail, but thanks to Dr. Phil, that's not a possibility. THANK YOU DR. PHIL FOR SPENDING YOUR SHOWS MONEY ON BAILING OUT UNDESERVING CONVICTS! FORGET ABOUT ALL OF THE CHARITIES THAT WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THAT $30,000 TO HELP PEOPLE, INSTEAD OF ASSULTING THEM.

Paging Dr Springer........uhhhh Phil! Seriously................such a loser!!!!Never has any advice that your average idiot couldn't come up with!!! VERY surprising that he can't ADMIT that he knew this was going on..........what a LOAD OF CRAP!!!! Let's all wait and see how he reacts when HIS personal life (divorce) is on talk shows and the news...................the only difference is that people will be paying them to NOT appear!!!
