Heart disease is the new deaf.
Our "Dancing with the Stars" spies tell us Toni Braxton will put on her dancing shoes for the show this season. Toni, who quit her Vegas gig due to heart complications, continues the "DWTS" tradition of dancers with some form of challenge: Heather Mills (leg), Marlee Matlin (deaf) and Tucker Carlson (rhythm).
A rep for the show says they don't comment on casting rumors.

If her heart is in such bad shape that she cannot complete her contractual obligations in Vegas then it is the height of malpractice for any doctor to allow her to perform on DWTS and height of hypocrisy for Toni and her management to even consider her participation in the show.

Ummmmmm-dancing in Vegas or dancing on TV-what's the difference? Shouldn't she refrain from doing both if her heart condition is so bad. I don't understand how her doctors will let her do DWTS and not do Vegas.

Wait a minute, she can't sing for 90 minutes but she can do the physically draining dance routines. Sounds more like that spotlight that came with Vegas stayed in Vegas so now on to the next gig, just be real about it. Between her and Halle Berry, you would think no other woman on the damn planet suffered from the same maladies.

Toni Braxton is the mother of 2! I am sure she wouldn't do anything that would jeopardize her health! She most likely has the BEST care and will be just fine. Also, regarding her Vegas show, she was suppose to end her engagement this year anyway. I don't fault her for taking the time to heal herself. Give the Lady a break and stop being so judgemental!

It's the same old story Vegas Headliner has health trouble and has to cancel shows,but when offered a chance to do a silly reality show D.W.T.S. they all of a sudden feel much better ? Remember Wayne Newton he had to cancel his show due to heart trouble but was able to do the D.W.T.S. tour it's a bunch of crap. The truth of the matter is these Headliners opt to do
D.W.T.S. due to the expossure they get nationally. So lets not lie and want simpathy tell it like it is.
Remember Wayne Newton again he has canceled so many shows in the past few years due to health issues he should be in the hospital not doing D.W.T.S. but when he cancels his shows due to health trouble he turns-up on N.B.C. Las Vegas go figure, it all comes back to the EXPOSSURE again.
Well hes burnt so many bridges locally hes reduced to a week at a time as a headliner hope it pays the bills.

I am upset at the DWTS lack of "senior" citizens. What have they got against us. P Presley was a good start, why not Cloris at least if she has a problem it is understanable. i cannot believe someone with children and a "known" heart disease would even consider this,
