Barney Fife gets alot of money from recipients of bank bailout money. He is a total fraud. Frank complaining about this is like Al Capone complaining about crooked IRS agents.

Who is Franks to talk, he is one of the reasons we are in the mess we are in. I agree the money shouldn't have been spent that way by the bank, but he's one of the idiots (over 8 years ago) that FORCED banks to lend to people with no money down & who did not qualify. SHAME ON HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barney Frank writing a letter stating he is so upset. That is CRAZY. He is the one who knew about the goings on and lack of oversight being handled by the SEC and now he is upset.
Why aren't we taxpayers demanding all government officials resign? Obama is not part of the solution, he is part of the problem. In this short time in office he has already spent our great grandchildren's tax money and put us more at the mercy, and in debt, with other countries.
How can this be good for us?

Does anyone else think it a little suspicios that a letter from a congressman is not written on official stationary? Or that the "official" response from the Northern Trust to Mr. Frank is not on their stationary? I guess people believe what they want in spite of how stupid it might make them look.

TMZ!! PRINT THE RESPONSE FOUND ON NORTHERN TRUST'S WEBSITE! It is not such a big outrage when it is clear that this money came from their operating budget. Northern Trust did not need TARP money, they were forced to take it like a lot of other healty banks so that they would have to answer to Barney. Like Obama said, give their execs bonuses when they make money, well, Northern Trust makes money, they are not Citi, let them do what they want with their money.

Obama said Lincoln understood that self-reliance was at the core of American life. BUT Obama said "Individual liberty is "served, not negated, by a recognition of the common good". The Common good of Collectivism as Obama stated a 'Collective Union' (which is opposes Republican Lincoln ideal of individual liberty). It is Individual Liberty that lead to the Ideology of freedom ,for all. The Democrats of Today seem to be engaged in the same Collectivism of before (From the Democrat Collectivism of Jim Crow or George Wallace To Al Sharpton or D Durbin , is still the same ideal.) An example of a Collective strategy is when one Leader suggest that ' A Negative Comment on him is a negative comment on all of Us (referring to a particular group).'.
