Carradine Tried Playing it Safe

6/9/2009 10:25 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

David CarradineWe've now seen a clear, uncensored version of the photo of David Carradine's body, and it reveals a powerful clue reinforcing the theory his death was an accident.

The rope around his neck is knotted in front -- common in the bondage community. We checked around with experts, who say a knot in the front is a telltale sign someone is not doing themself in. The frontal knot makes it fairly easy to quickly escape if they start losing consciousness.

I really wish I didn't know this about him. I don't need to. I'm glad that when I keel, not too many people will care why/how and it certainly shouldn't make the internet where people who don't know me can trash my character for what they perceive to be perversions or character flaws. Poor Caradine family...I'm sorry we're doing this to you.

30. Why is a gossip site getting an uncensored photo of a dead body at all, but especially in an FBI investigation

Posted at 5:31PM on Jun 9th 2009 by Odd

@#30, Odd

WTF??? The picture is ALL OVER the internet....a hotel employee who was in the room snapped it (probably with a cellphone)...and sold it for $$$. Why do you think the paps run around taking pictures of celebrities?? If it is a person that is even SOMEWHAT recognizable (i.e. famous person) in a compromising position , the picture is gonna be sold for a lot of $$$$, that is the way it works. The tabloid's who sell their rags at the checkout stand get their $$$ back from sales of their mag. it is a BUSINESS to them. The only way for these rags to go out of business is if people would stop buying them...(unfortunately that is not gonna happen...everybody likes to slow down and gawk at a train wreck)

What is even worst, the Carradine family can hire all the lawyers they want, maybe they will get a settlement out of the Thai paper that bought the pic, but the damage has been done with THE INTERNET. There is no governing body over the internet unless you have hacked someones computer or are cyber-stalking them,(don't even know if that legislation has passed), then the FBI can get involved, if someone posts all their personal business or pictures on their myspace, facebook, etc... anybody can copy and paste it and there is NOTHING that can be done about it cuz the person or person's put the info out there, call your local FBI office in the largest town closest to you, they will tell you.

27. As a Dr.,I am going to keep pointing out that until THE FBI and Dr.Michael Bodin investigate and do a second autopsy on Mr.Carradine.We don't know what happened to him.I wold hope that my own famile would call in the "Big" guns if something happened weird like that 2 me.Until,the truth comes out-can't we give his family some privacy? I see families in grief everyday and they don't even have to deal w wild.unfounded accusations.If it was his fault that this happened,then the TRUTH will prevail.

@ #27 ROBIN

He is a medical doctor and board-certified forensic pathologist.
Dr. Baden received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1959.

He is married to Linda Kenney-Baden, an attorney, and has four children.
Michael Baden and Linda Kenney have written the thriller "Remains Silent."

Dr. Michael Baden was the Chief Medical Examiner for the City of New York from 1978 to 1979.

Dr. Baden has been a consulting/lead pathologist and an expert witness on a number of high profile cases and investigations including:

* John Kennedy - chairman of the Forensic Pathology Panel of the House Select Committee on Assassinations
* O.J. Simpson criminal trial
* Czar Nicholas II - investigated the remains discovered in the 1990s in Siberia
* Sid Vicious's death
* Claus Von Bülow criminal trial
* John Belushi's death
* Lisa McPherson's death
* Phil Spector's murder trial for the defense. Baden was reportedly paid $250,000. Baden's wife was legal
co-counsel for Mr. Spector at the time.
* Sergeant Evan Vela's court martial

Dr. Baden maintains a private forensic pathology consulting practice and is the co-director of the New York State Police Medicolegal Investigation Unit.

Also it is not going to be an easy autopsy since David Carradine's body has already been autopsied once, however
Dr. Baden knows what he is doing and has done second autopsies many times before.

Dr. Cyril Harrison Wecht, is a forensic pathologist too, he is a clinical professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and an adjunct professor of law at Duquesne University.
He is also married to an attorney, Sigrid Wecht, in Pittsburgh.

Get this, he has 4 kids:
a judge
a neurosurgeon
and a writer

Dr. Wecht, is considered more "controversial" because of HIS findings in the Elvis Presley, and JonBenét Ramsey,
cases. Dr. Wecht’s medical opinion of JonBenet Ramsey’s death was likely an accidental result of a "sex game” committed by her father.
By everything being reported about Mr. Carradine, these "sex games" unfortunately are looking more and more common.

I really appreciate that TMZ is trying to do the right thing. They are investigating objectively, interviewing people in the bondage community, etc, to really see what happened [while not posting, the most graphic photos] - it's not a normal death. I love David Carradine and so do a lot of other people,. Careful disclosure to respect the family is a good thing ... but also, this is an awesome dude that died too soon. I hope TMZ continues to investigate and report with sensitivity as they have.

I don't understand the worlds "need to know" mentality. For Gods sake let the man rest in peace.
He wasn't out there raping or killing. The only one he was intentionally hurting was himself. I'm sure if he knew he would be
"found out" and embarassing his family he would have thought twice. Anyway, doesn't everyone have something to hide?

I continue to be shocked and amazed by the lengths some people will go to for the sake of obtaining a few moments of pleasureable muscle contractions.
